You can skip 20 min at a time to quickly get a rough idea when the first game starts. More often than not a proleague starts at least 1 hour into the stream, up to 4-5 hours.

Some clues to check for:
A score will be shown above the mini map including names, depending on the streamer. As soon as you see a game in obs mode and u hear a lot of blablabla, then you know proleague is on. If you see a notepad on the streamer's screen or that they're checking someone else's stream then it usually means they are gathering funds n preparing to play.

Over time you will learn to recognize player IDs and you can check this thread for the first match ups unspoilered. Use JKL on your keyboard to quickly jump through boring parts.

The tricky thing these days for the livestream is we now only have a few progamers who are still streaming on youtube (Mini, Snow, Light, Rush, Queen, Barracks) and most of the observer slots are usually given to Afreeca-only streamers (Bisu, JD...) who generate a lot of money from donors, so if you watch from youtube you sometimes can't see the players ID from the supply panel that only observers can have. In that case the only way (if you don't read Korean letters) is to scroll back to the beginning of the game and see the IDs of the players in the game lobby. Or if you don't mind Afreeca, turn to one of them streams.

Snow is the only one with an English scoreboard for foreign viewers but he tends to not have the observer slot these days. Out of the youtube streamers Mini gets this slot the most but he's never cared about making a score board, and also his observing style sometimes can be quite dizzy for us mere viewers lol.

My advice for navigating through the videos, either the full streams or the Proleague-only VODs, is to use the thumbnail/preview function in the progress bar of youtube. When I move my mouse along it and see they're pulling out notepad/excell sheet, I know they're crowd funding and the games will start minutes after. Then I look for either the lobby screen or the change in the color of the maps to move between games. Then of course during a game I fast forward/rewind by 5-10s using JKL and the arrow keys to skip past boring parts.
