No Major Proleague but we have TY returning to BW again, playing in K League today:

+ Show Spoiler +Today's super ace is super nuts. La Campanella is a disgusting map. As Zerg in ZvT, you get to 4 gas bases quite easily but you dont really have 4 gases lol. Watch this game and see why
Soulkey is fucking insane when it comes to finishing him off in ZvT. At one point everyone in Rush's team was laughing hysterically thinking they had the prize in the bag, only to find out 5 mins later that they lost

This is actually the best map pool we've ever had (top 3 AT LEAST), I think.
I like all these new maps and they produce some fantastic games, too.
Great stuff.

Some sick funding for both leagues today (both 5v5 as well)

Snow and Mini strangely found themselves in the K League

He'll never rise to tier 1 Terran status with a mentality like that. Meanwhile , Effort showed why he's one of the best Zergs ever.

Shortened format of Proleague today as everyone has to sleep well for tommorow

Wow these guys are celebrating passing the qualifiers by having a Proleague with a prize pool of 5M KRW per winner (highest ever). Imagine the pressure if you have to play the super ace.
|
Wow, about $4k USD per person this proleague, that's about as much as getting to the ASL semis. Must stung for the losing team.
+ Show Spoiler +Just finished watching it and wow Rush losing 3x to zerg is unbelievable considering its one of his stronger matchups. The man is still grieving while Jaedong is looking to play League of Legends after lol. If this was Kespa era, I would say that Team A would easily win, but now they got several underperforming players which make the matchup today unbalanced. And, as a longtime Jaedong fan, it sucks to see him losing so much money from this massive funding.

KL joins with MPL to commemorate everyone passing the qualifiers. 2M KRW per winner:

With many not streaming today, they were still able to squeeze out a decent lineup

How are the lineups determined in each set? Do teams select players per map or is randomized? And does that factor in when players play repeatedly for the Bo7 and there's only 4 players per team?

And does that factor in when players play repeatedly for the Bo7 and there's only 4 players per team? In the K League round 1 and 2 are usually randomly determined. But if there's too much of a skill gap they sometimes place the expected strongest players against each other and the weakest against each other. In Major League round 1 is randomized and round 2 is King of the Kill. Ace match is randomly determined. The Moonlight pro league followed the same format as major. Mixed male/female league puts female vs female and male vs male.
