Pretty sure best had this game until this control group of hydras took down the third.

That was a long contain. Best almost broke out and take the third successfully with the DT wiping out the drones on the Z third twice.

I think this was a huge huge mistake from Best. Just leave some of the army at the third and attack with the rest. Don't go back and forth and do nothing with your army... even attacking right away zerg's army would have been much better...

Such a nail biter. BeSt played so clean, those 2 DTs sniped around 25 drones until losing that nexus like 3 times? SoMa's decision making won him this game.

Entertaining game, but because of complacency on Best's part. Losing his Nexus like that was unnerving, deathball syndrome described it so well.

Credit to soma, he lead the game to a scenario in which he clearly was more comfortable than best, alternating attacks on the third, reestablishing a contain in front of the natural or simply setting up great fights where the map allowed to prevent a fair fight against best's superior army.

I don't expect top notch control and decisions when the game becomes scrappy.

Sorry playing right into Best's strong suit. Wouldn't say it was suicidal, but I wonder if he really feels good playing a macro game against THE macro protoss.

Something I noticed: he put his first two machine shops (I imagine there was a third one we didn't see) on the facs that were top right and then he placed six facs at a separate screen. I suppose there are hotkey arrangements that can mitigate the time lost, but feels suboptimal.

I will remember Sorry's performance today because he showed both creativity as well as a macro throwdown with one of the best macro players.

Given that these leagues are now an avenue for players to showcase themselves to a greater audience for their regular day job as streamers, I'm in favor of his decision to go for a macro throwdown even if it resulted in a loss. This will be great for his Sponmatch numbers.

Best is always a disappointment. He always chokes, and this time he choked against soma who was an amateur not too long ago. I understand he can take games from flash but still. Best showing he will never be championship material.

Killer is good as in good for an expro semi-retired who randomly show up once in a blue moon.
As for Best, he is clearly top 3 protoss atm (since Rain is out of the picture) ahead of bisu and stork, and slightly behind mini and snow (imho).
