Has Flash Retired? No, he took a break after the last ASL and is in fact ready to compete this ASL and is seeded directly into the Ro16
Why is Rain not playing? no interest, hasn't been playing much BW recently so he decided to give up his seed(from making top 4 last season) which Sharp won, which is why Sharp is in the Ro16 already.
Isn't Soulkey in the military? Soulkey is on leave due to financial reasons.
Oh wow, I must be pretty behind on the news because I had no idea Bisu is back. Not to mention, firebathero?? This is going to be a really fun ASL, I can feel it.

I agree, even Soulkey is there so
I'd like to translate ASL S9, also I just uploaded some epic matches with English sub!
Random thoughts : Could be the weakest group, along with group C, but a good one for Bisu overall. Despite beast has shown some great flashs lately, it looks like he has some problems to perform under pressure and Sasin is currently playing the best starcraft he ever has.
Group B
Predictions : No Idea -.-
Random thoughts : The most balanced group of the RO24. Anyone has a decent chance to make it through, and I want all of them to advance T_T. Even though people might think huro and JyY are underdog, both showed amazing (really) skills as of late. Will be the funniest group to rail imo
Group C
Predictions : SoulKey // firebathero
Random thoughts : Ok, i have a crush on fbh but who doesnt ? Its also possible that he gets 2nd spot as I never been a fan of Mong, plus he never brings his A-game on stage. Have to admit I am not too familiar with Ss1nz though.
Group D
Predictions : Light // ????
Random thoughts : I never saw a single game from Sea.KH although i read some good things on him. Would be cool to have an amateur in the RO16 so ill be rooting for him :D I really does not appreciate neither of ForGG or Mind as top terrans, and both lost 1-3 against Light not too long ago.
Group E
Predictions : sOrry // Soma
Random Thoughts : I would love to see Killer advances, but unfortunately for him, he spawned in possibly the worst group of all. sOrry is currently fighting with Light for the 2nd best Terran right now, and he has not showed any sign of slowing down. Best best match up is probably PvZ right now, and he could upset Soma (although he got destroyed by Soma in KSL 4), but Best's choking reputation on stage leads me towards a quick exit again.
Group F
Predictions : Mini // ZerO
Random thoughts : BarrackS showed some great games overall lately, so I am not counting him out yet. Rush is also in a good form, but it seems that the guy is peaking where hes at. Its so frustrating to root for ZerO and hes playing a bit poorly since a few weeks, I am not sure what to think of this one. Hard group nonetheless.

It should start next saturday
Not a bad group for ASC winner Brain. He has been killing it lately in pvt sponmatches and Mind being so inactive and all, i really think we have got a good shot at having an amateur entering the ro16

Now I'm in Korea, I'll bring some info about ASL xD
Thanks for the translations. I suggest that you make your own thread so that more people take notice, especially if you will do more translations in the future.

STOP CHANGING YOUR FUCKING ID'S (a mulligan for sea.kh because his afreeca ID is brain though and huro because he's an unestablished newbie, but soma, zero, horang2 and killer have absolutely zero excuses)
Soulkey is the only Zerg that I feel relatively confident will advance to the Ro16, Maybe one of Soma/Killer too, I think 3 zergs in the Ro16 is a pretty realistic possibility :0
And yeh there are map bans from the Ro16 on (until Bo7)

Awesome to see so many up & comers. Can't wait to see Bisu again and it is also pretty nice to see FBH qualify! This is why Ro24s are great to have, it gives the lower tier players a chance to get some studio experience. Can't wait for ASL to finally start again! Also very nice to see Flash not drop out, would be amazing to see him win a 5th one.

sorry i tried to look on liquipedia but that info wasn't there yet...
i see nothing on the afreecatv website http://sbs.afreecatv.com/?control=schedule or their twitter https://twitter.com/afreecatvgame in regards to the dates of the ro24. not sure who edited the liquipedia with those dates but i cannot find a source that has confirmed that it will be starting this sunday.

i posted it in the other thread, but ASL (like LCK) will not have an audience for the forseeable future due to the coronavirus. asl will start as scheduled however (this sunday)

I understand you don't want to acknowledge having asked a dumb question, but I don't think this thread needs any more passive aggressive smilies. (Though, to be fair, misspelling "stupidity" was pretty funny.)

What's Last's excuse?
I think he has some wrist issues. Hasn't played much since the last ASL.

I counted all games played on Inner Coven in ASL, both KCM Race Survival, KCM Challenge and CMSL 2. Hopefully I didn't miss any. The stats are not too terrible, to be honest. It's 4-6 in TvZ, 5-6 in TvP and 5-7 in PvZ.
JD needs to go to military but there's no ETA when. He doesn't play BW much lately but other games - must be due to wrist issues. But if he starts playing I'm sure he can get to ro8 without problem. We saw how fast he managed to get to ro4 when he freshly cameback from SC2. Then when started practicing again he got into finals of KSL. What I'm trying to say? It's not that JD isn't good anymore/washed up, it's his wrist/eye problems. I'm still waiting for him to comeback - maybe after military, maybe before if he has enough time for another 6 months.
The problem with that is JD needs a lot of practice to get back into good condition and his wrist more than likely won't allow a heavy practice routine. But here's hoping I'm wrong.
Eh, why we talking about JD? is there any indication he would be coming back?
Honestly though, practice or not, I'm not sure if he could still keep up with the current challengers. Yea, he was good once, but it remains to be seen if he can get to that level again. We've seen a somewhat OK Jeadong after he came back from SC2, but the results are better than the real picture... Which is that he got owned hard vs a player that he should've beaten (if he was still his former self).. And other than that KSL his performance was pretty mediocre... I'm not holding any hope, even if he would make another comeback...
