Looking forward to watching this
|
If I lived closer to this I'd definitely go to it, but am excited nonetheless to see what happens.
|
just for clarification, if we want to register and pay in-person, do we still need to do anything on Battlefy? If so, what needs to be done?
|
Amazing, thanks for hosting this AfreecaTV ! See you in LA!
EDIT : Oh snap, getting an ASL T-Shirt, like 14 left act fast people!
|
How LARGE is a Large in Korea (i'm guessing it is KR size)? I think this would fit me lol

Whoops, I meant to put $15 in for a shirt but accidentally just put it directly into the pot (under the name Vigamox). Any way to change that for me?
|
If I just want to show up to spectate and hang out, will I have to pay an entry fee?
|

I think Medium in US is a Large in KR...tho I'm not sure what standard the shirts are gonna be in.

Are the shirts shipping worldwide or just for people at the event?
|
Oh my goodness thank you so much AfreecaTV, you guys are hard-carrying this scene! Much love <3
Also I'm definitely copping a shirt if they ship worldwide.
Edit: Got myself a shirt, good luck to everyone attending the event! :D

Since it is a paid entry fee tournament, Battlefy doesn't allow us to manually add players. You will still need to register an account for Battlefy. I believe you can join the tournament and be left as a pending player until you pay. Once you pay in person, we can generate a code for you to join.

I wish, but that might be best left up to Rus_Brain and TakeTV for now.

I don't know if I'll be able to afford to go, but I'm definitely interested in casting if I can make it out. Would be fun also to play some BW in person with actual people. Been too long.

I do know a handful of people who are definitely coming, but just haven't actually signed up on Battlefy yet, but am a bit bummed at the signups vs. the level of interest in the other thread. I think Char mentioned you can still sign up on Battlefy and then pay in-person if you don't want to commit to that now.
I been out of town a lot lately but will try to advertise/promote on my stream soon!

Amazing event, professionally run with awesome staff. Really appreciate Afreeca for hosting and loved meeting all the NA folk yesterday. Grats to Ty2 for the championship as well.

This was such a well produced and organized event, it was a pleasure to watch and follow it. Hopefully we get more in the near future!
PS. Shout-out to surfer4life for knocking out a bunch of people in the losers bracket. What an OG.

Congrats Ty2, I didn't see it all but what I did see was a really great event
EDIT : I REALLY was pissed I couldn't go to the event, as I live in California only a few hours from LA now, but I am trying hard to focus on real life now sadly...had to work. Looked like a really hype event and loved the games I saw, anyone have pictures from the event? Thanks

Thanks again to everyone who attended, tuned into the stream, and donated on Matcherino. We really appreciate all of the support you showed and hope we can continue to giveback to the best community around.
Special shout out to Fujikura for being the MVP admin and DocHoliday for holding down the cast. Thanks also to everyone who stepped in to co-cast.
Overall, the event was a success in our book and you can expect a second event in the early part of next year. Initial thoughts are Jan/Feb, but we'll adjust to what's best for the community.
Any and all feedback is welcomed. Please let us know what we can do to improve the event, either for the attendees or viewers on stream.
For those that bought a shirt on Matcherino, we will be shipping those out this week.
The full VOD can be found here.
Highlight video to come out this week, expected on Wed, Oct 9th.

Awesome video! Production and everything was honestly super cool. I honestly think future LA LAN's have a lot of potential for larger scale events - especially if we can build up to them with smaller events.

Nice highlight reel. Seems like you guys had a lot of fun. Hoping to see more events in LA. Maybe I ll catch one live then. For now the VOD has to be enough though.
Gratz to the winner!
