Great, I might actually stay up for this rather than watch the vod for once.

Looks like a pretty boring group though tbh.

I wonder if the group selection will be fun , since I’ve nothin else to do this morning I may watch it. I know I am in the minority as a USA brood war fan but it’s be cool if they moved the tournament 2 hours back in time , making it like 4-5
Pm kst instead of the current 8pm kst because 5am us isn’t the ideal time for Americans to watch

Tyson or guemchi first advance.
Soulkey 2nd.
Surprise would be byul 2nd advance.

Block chain protoss favored in all match up.
Whiteout and mp are balanced map imo.
Trying my best for ASL, ASTL

Third base of Terran players are in the middle map Kappa.

Only one way to Terran players win in this map is take second base as soon as and then all-in.

Unfortunately I don't think us foreign fans will ever number enough to be taken into consideration. I'm just grateful we get an English cast and VODs.

What is Tasteless on about warping buildings taking INCREASED damage? I heard same thing on Sunday and thought I misheard but here he goes saying it again in winners match? Did I mishear/misunderstand again?
Warping building in BW take same damage as finished ones btw.

Edit/add: rewatched, he said
Remember, cannons take a lot of damage as they're warping in.

my bad.

Man, I think Byul would''ve had that game so easily if he hadnt wasted like his first 4 vultures, can't believe Tasteless and Artosis didn't mention that. Tasteless even said something like 'oh he has mines now', while he was trying to lay mines with those earlier vultures before, but just horribly failed doing so...

Remember, cannons take a lot of damage as they're warping in.

From the way he said it I also thought it implied they take bonus damage during warp-in, even though that isn't the case. I think in SC2 units being warp gated in do take bonus damage.

I hope that Sharp, Last, Effort, Larva, SK, Rain, Best and Snow are 2 by 2 in different groups so theoretically these 8 can get to the 1/4 finals.

Just caught up, sick groups, good job on effort pulling effort out of that group of death, I was dreading that group eliminating all my favourite players.

My picks:
Effort>Horang2
Soulkey>Last
Sharp, Best (I can't a first winner from these 2)
Rain> Larva

Hard to call group B since I have no idea what sorta shape Last is in. SK seems like the easy #1 but I could definitely see Snow coming out behind him, especially on these maps and if Last isn't at 100%. Calm's going to need some grade A cheese if he wants to take any games in that group haha.

my picks:
group A: Effort and Horang2
group B: Soulkey and Snow
group C: Sharp and Best
group D: Rain and Larva

Group A: Effort + Horang2
Group B: Soulkey + Snow (I think Last will underperform)
Group C: Best Sharp
Group D: Rain Mini (I think Larva isn’t as good as these 2)

At this point, SK is the clear favorite.
I know he won 4-1 against him in KSL 2 finals, but great form also apply to Sharp these days.

A: effort, horang2. horang2's pvp is better than guemchis'

B: Not sure how lasts wrists are atm, assuming they hold up for the length of games: last, soulkey.
If his wrists are fucked, soulkey, Calm

C: Sharp, Best

D: Larva, Mini

Group B is insane!

I am not really sure who I am rooting for, it would be cool to see Effort win 2 in a row.
Soulkey is a great player and deserves a win.
Last getting 1 KSL and 1 ASL would be great to see as well.

But Best winning would be the greatest thing ever, the first full BoX series I really watched was when Best got stomped by July in the OSL finals. I had watched a few games here and there before that, but since then I have watched every single major tournament.

Seeing him get gold would be so damn sweet to me. I was a huge Best fan during prolegue and stuff as well.

There is no way Horang2 is a favorite over Guemchi

Im gonna go with Effort & Guemchi.
Soulkey & snOw. Sharp & Best. Rain & sacsri.
