I'm surprised to see Mind 2-0 up at the moment. I though SoulKey would have an easier time than this.

The most he could do with a slower 3 hatch muta (due to 9pool) is just not a lot of damage, especially against +1 5 rax

Also what is it about these Stx-players and tilting. Last, Shuttle, Sharp and Mini have all habbit of underperforming when it matters. However Mini takes it to next level, looking utterly crushed even after winning ☹️

EDIT: JieXian you think Gclef plays brood war? It doesn't sound like him or rapid play, at least not to the extent where they know builds and timings. They do a decent job with the basics of casting, no dead air or inappropriate content like fighting or talking over each other. But the more technical commentary and self deprecating comedy of tastosis is sorely missed. I'm sure there are qualified casters out there that could take the place of rapid, gclef and that fat pale millenial but I don't know if they could travel or dedicate the time to cast these matches, or even if there's a way to contact whoever is employing these guys. EDIT again: To be fair I think NoRegret would be great with a little more BW knowledge, I'm sure his SC2 casting is very good, rapid's may be as well.

After fighting your way back from a terrible start with some excellent muta harass, splitting, even scourge snipes on vessels. What a fitting way to close out the series. Well at this point my expectations aren't high, and I am happy with someone who knows what each unit does and knows the basics. I am not comparing them with Tastosis or the korean casters, but I'm talking about whether I can watch the games at all. Previously we had someone who has thought that going hydras after lair tech in ZvT was an option "Is he gonna go mutas or hydras?" GClef definitely has a very good knowledge of the fundamentals although he might not have an intricate knowledge of the builds and timings. I'm just happy with the net improvement in the quality of the cast.

I think he doesn't know enough about the game yet, he makes certain assessments wrongly that you and I won't make but it should improve with time given how much effort he is putting into improving. He has already improved a lot from the first time I had watched his casts a few months ago.

You're basically trying to entertain and be knowledgeable at the same time. That's a lot of pressure to handle. It's much easier to sit on the couch and take in what's going on. I just internally sigh when I hear him say one thing and then a few seconds later needs to do a complete 180, but I dont really hung up on it ![]()

Jaedong played against 8 rax the correct way in the finals (until he lost his lurkers). BBS can kill you sure, but I really think you shouldn’t be dying to an 8 rax when you’re playing anything less greedy than like 3 hatch before pool lol. I'm interested to know how to come back from such a position (on HBR) or how to handle 12hatch 11/12/13 pool vs 8 rax that was scouted late.
