A series like this is a microcosm of why Effort > Zero, and why that will always be true no matter what day to day results look like, until Zero demonstrates much more mental strength in big games. Effort would've come into this series thinking "I'm pissed that I'm in the 3rd place match and I'm going to take it out on this amateur". Does anyone think Effort loses this series to Sharp? Certainly there's no chance Effort loses 3-0 (doesn't hurt that Effort pulled off the most stunning 0-2 to 3-2 comeback of all time). Zero's a great player, but just not a "winner" in the way that's necessary to win tournaments. To be clear, I like Zero as a player, and the harshness of this criticism is out of wanting to see him fulfill his potential as much as anything. | ||
