So you are saying P>Z on Peaks ?
Actually id say the map is by far too new to even make any valid statement about its balance.
I agree that maps like Paradoxxx or Gaema Gewon ( TvZ ) and some others are really imbalanced and actually make a difference in the outcome of a game.. But Peaks is not such a map..

If this map would be P>Z i really wonder why Fosken took it as his map vs some toss in a more or less important league game..

Seriously.. How is peaks P>Z ? Id say Peaks is absolutely cool and fair map for PvZ. Id say P=Z on it.

I mean..i wouldnt even say that Azeala or Luna is clearly Z>P, but come on.. azeala and luna are more Z>P than Peaks is P>Z

Or is every map with no close 2nd expansion imbalanced for Zerg ? ..

Peaks is pretty cool and balanced. P does have a very slight advantage.
But it's not for instance say imbalanced in that it's a 60/40 PvZ map. It's like a 55/45 PvZ map.
It's definitely not imbalanced to the point that it can't be overcome. It's not like Bifrost 2 where you have to get extremely precise timing down to stand fair chance at pro level ZvT.

peaks pvz is imba if the toss knows what hes doing and early exps on high ground + just reav cannons on his exps and plays defensive until the z basicly runs out of mines,

Phil you tell me it is to early to know the balance of the map but then site Fosken as proof it is not imbalanced? I would go with professional statistics and the opinion of a vast majority vs fosken and testie on this. And even testie is admitting here it is a little bit imbalanced.

And to expand on TT1's point the map favors defensive play and high techs. two things zerg as a race lack in. Protoss FE and turtle expand for 35 minutes and wait for the zerg to simply waste its units away defending impossible corridors and perfect storm/reaver situations.

Just trust me Phil. The map isnt as bad as a gaema gowon for TvZ or a Paradoxxx for anything Z, but it is not by any means a balanced map for Z at all. It is my opinion that it is more so than what nick says but we both agree, it definately favors P.

Well I have to disagree with the statement zerg is bad at defense with the rise of lurker/sunk/spore play these days, however on peaks that is harder to pull off than in many other maps I guess

P.S. back on topic, I really hope Draco takes it, it will be nice to see him win something after being in Korea for this time

In comparison to cannons/templar or turrets/tanks/mines/bunkers sunken colonies / spore and lurker are shit. People bitch because zerg in the last year found out they can make a good defense as well. But it still does not compare to what a protoss or terran can throw up CHEAP at every fucking choke / expo on a map.

Also, zergs dont have the tank/reaver or storm/sci to deal with those defenses. We have guardians, sweet highest tech expensive and easy to kill. Dont tell me zerg compare to terran/protoss in defense.

Incontrol read what Carnac said.. and thats exactly what i mean..
Peaks may slightly favour toss. And this is litteraly really .. well.. the imbalance is really really small..

There are way more maps who favour Zerg over Protoss by a bigger margin. Not by more than.. lets say... 60/40 , but still.. Peaks is a cool and relatively fair map in all match ups. Slightly favouring P over Z and a bit more favouring T over Z. But there are so much more maps favouring Z over P by at least the same as Peaks if favouring p over z ..

thats my point. basicaly..
