His style is aggressive and very boom or bust. CJ/Woongjin zergs are very hardcore macro heavy late game players and Stats exploits their weaknesses well.

Disappointing. But it's well known that despite its depth, CJ isn't the most reliable team due to its uncanny ability to choke when necessary.

Not to mention he practices with Action (he said that action is unbeatable inhouse in some interview last year so they prolly practice a good amount) so he is confident going into lategame.

Watch the games KT won, come back, look me in the eyes and tell me that effort and hydra choked (I didnt watch the first 3 games, so I'll be shut about them)

stats is just an all around really solid player, i would actually say that stats is not particularly aggressive (bisu and movie tend to have a lot more early / midgame pressure with zealots and mid-sized balls of doom) as a PvZer but he has a good eye for expansions that i think very few other protosses do when playing against zerg.
stat's has a pretty a good record vs CJ and Stars zergs, but his record against most zergs that aren't Jaedong (he's 0-7 against JD out of a 35-29 vZ total) is also very impressive (around 61%). Jaedong in particular tends to go for lategame vP as a default build when he doesn't seem to have prepared for a vP matchup on maps for early pressure (much to his detriment as of late, what with very far third and fourths on the maps last season), which imo is one of the reasons why stats hasn't been able to beat JD yet: he isn't good at pressuring him when he is relying on sim city and mobile lings to defend his expoes, whereas bisu in particular is very good at KO'ing JD early with his signature zealot harass.

Most of stats losses to Jaedong are slight mistimings or minor early game mistakes like letting lings runby. They hardly ever made it to the mid-lategame and when they did, Jaedong had a massive advantage.
Stats more often will attack with his first units than not. Not sure why you don't think he's aggressive when it's very clearly his preferred style. He didn't in this game because, well, goddamn look at that map man.

Oh well, EffOrt's not immortal after all. No issue though, the CJ train will keep on rolling!

Let's talk about the player themes, and how flash and stats chose the most epic music ever.

I can't believe it... but anyway: Gratz to KT!

i suppose its more of what you compare them to, i drew the comparison between stats and bisu because they both have (imo) a somewhat similar PvZ style that focuses on getting a third-destroying ball push with HT, and between them bisu is decisively more aggressive in the early-midgame
and in drawing a comparison between JD and CJ / woongjin zergs, i wouldn't say that they are lategame oriented as compared to JD and his ever-growing fetish for getting 4 hatcheries and 3 expoes before any deep tech lol.

Hoejja is a miracle. I don't know how many times he had forced an ace/last game. Our first taste of sweet victory, came from CJ's first tears. Yeah I notice he has pretty impeccable expansion timing. I also noticed that he only engages when he knows he is in good position to and never throws away units (Jaehoon vs Zero). Just all around solid decision making on as consistent basis.
