Because this game doesn't matter and these two teams will probably meet in the playoffs, so they don't want to show off the players they will be using.
I'm guessing SK is thinking mind games and making their A team players show a larger repertoire so they are more unpredictable during the finals or something.

The point isn't that it's late in the season, it's that the games don't really matter. Because sending the A team might be more detrimental than not, they just chose to give the rookies some playing time. Besides, they need more players for the larger series in the playoffs, might as well give the lower string players some pre playoff experience.
