There were 3,4, max 5 active teams anyway. And now I'm sad ;(

The teams and especially the team's leaders! have had responsibilities and everything was explained very clearly on how to do, and yet there were barely any teams following such easy steps as reporting your match in the according thread or some teams didn't show up at all and PM's were sent to the team leaders at the beginning of the week, so the information was delivered, besides that a news and a thread with the playdates.

Anyhow, the season is over, as many teams didn't respond to any of the admins in the end at all. Plus, numerous of our admins have a stressful RL, too. We're trying to figure out how we can improve this and make it easier for next season. We'd be happy to hear about suggestions at iccup.com.

Some avid advice from an experienced organizer: Foremost, don't make promises that cannot be kept: + Show Spoiler + On July 18 2011 20:54 Gecko[Xp] wrote: This tournament/league is NOT going to be abandoned. As said, we're working on the communication, schedules and rules update with a high priority. The most important thing for us right now is to inform the participating teams, which will be done by the end of tomorrow. The public news MAY be delayed for this week. If we're going to re-open a thread here or not is not yet decided, and the decision is not mine to make. Secondly, don't make open threats to the community and give them ultimatums. + Show Spoiler + On July 19 2011 09:46 ThePaladin wrote: I agree with Nina. This thread is meant for people who would like to inquire about iNW, and for iCCup Admins involved with the NW to post info. If it continues to be abused by the usual culprits for their usual mudslinging I will order iCCup Admins (for the time being mainly GeckoXp and Nina) to cease posting here, making it more difficult for you to get news of iNW developments. Above quote just for the laughs. Eywa never fails to amuse me. In addition, to make something like this thrive, you need a well-established Admin Staff as your initial foundation. Yes, National Team Leaders and Teams should be reliable and responsible but to create something like this; compassionate, fair, understanding admins are absolutely necessary. I enjoyed the premise of all National Members joining a team and creating new accounts, yet the prior interface set-up whereas lazy gamers didn't have to switch is much preferred. ![]() Meaning: National Members don't create new accounts but are seeded onto the National Team and get special little icons. Lastly, there needs to be motive. The iNW format started off well under Tenshi's management, the fact that everything changed under the predecessors shows the lack of experience and wisdom to handle such a feature. iNW had no prize, only pride. iCCupCL and BWCL already offer pride and bragging rights. Maybe open a new Tab for Rankings and NW History. Put some more thought into the development if you are interested in reviving a concept that many players have been exposed to (knowing what works and what doesn't work).

Yes, I know. I still like to have the feedback on our page, so does the senior administration. Posting here often times leads to derails and random accusations, which helps nobody in the end. We will use iCCup to actually to the final organisation anyway. If a thread for the final league with info will be hosted here or elsewhere is not yet decided. On a personal note, this will be definitely my last post in this thread, maybe on this page as a whole, as I'm tired to read over posts from persons such as Shade (Boxer(OD)), Cpt. Fatbeard + Fanboys with their only goal to throw as much dirt as possible. It's kinda getting annoying.

On a separate note, Joe do you have every important BW thing that you've ever been a part of SS'd and saved somewhere?

with my fair share of unfortunate aspects in life (viruses, database crashes, unrecoverable files, iCCup's 100,000+ account deletion, etc etc etc) i've been paranoid...what can i say? as for this thread, i would've been more than happy/qualified to revive this. although terms and conditions would be discussed thoroughly.

Eywa- is also interested in starting up a sponsored NW project. You guys should get together.
