Ideally I want a Sea 3 Kill followed by a Stork reverse all kill. Although having great do an allkill wouldn't be half bad either. I was rooting against him in the MSL but after seeing the finals he deserves at least the first Zerg all kill in WL.
MBC Sea and light = Stork's personal chew toy...=( I expected stork to dominate but mbc do have some some decent zergs, plus an improve Jaehoon to snipe stork.

I drew inspiration from that qtπ flamewheel, even with art school I could never be as good as him .
You will have to do an MS Paint deathmatch in order to see who is the true artist then. Only a battle to the death will decide who is the one with true skill.

Turn with very nice marine micro, stabilizes the situation in his nat
But Sea's first vulture gets in his main, forcing Turn to cancel the building machine shop to build another vulture. Sea's vulture then dies but also managed to see Turn's Starport building
Turn ferries some units into Sea's main but it looks like Sea still has the situation under control. Snipes 1 of Turn's dropships in the process Drop force cleaned
Still, terrible decision making by Turn. You don't try to break a contain when you have less tanks than the enemy. Sea's wraiths rape all the remaining goliaths, then tanks come in next to rape Turn's nat. He ggs.
megalisk could you please include an "overall results" and "overall lineups" spoiler; it is awful to have to open up to 7 spoiler tags to look at that information

Yes sir!
Only cause you are so good at RW :p
i don't know what you're talking about; i am awful at racewars ;_;
But Stork is cunning enough to have added another Nexus at 9.5 before rebuilding the Nexus in his nat... But Sea sees it with his SCV! Sea's now adding Factories for a trademark Terran timing attack
On February 21 2011 18:41 Crunchums wrote: dang that was some sexy micro by stork he only lost 1 goon that whole time and it was pretty much exclusively because goons are super retarded
Stork attempts a zealot bomb but fails miserably to all the vultures waiting for it. His nat is under siege. He attempts to flank Sea's tanks with goons, but Sea continues pushing up, adding bunkers and supply depots to absorb hits.
Hell yeahh sea!!! <Take that Stork with your greedy play, Sea so sexy, marine medic, range, bunkers, Ebay+supply depot wall during push, so awesome micro
Why didn't you cheese like the last time? You would have at least some slim chance to win. Stork is the second most overrated player in this age(yeah, nobody can beat Action).

You can't say Stork is overrated...
4OSL/MSL Silvers and 1 Gold is definitely not overrated...

Sure, I mean its not like Stork has consistently been 55+% in all 3 matchups, beating a variety of skilled opponents....oh wai-
Sure Stork gets a lot of hype and maybe excessive love from us fans <3 but saying he's the second most overrated player is a little bit of a stretch....
Sea played extremely well, Stork played below par. That's all there is.

Everyone sees him as a S-Class member. Not saying he's an awful player-just saying that he gets more recognition than he deserves.
Sea harasses at grape's nat and pulls back after killing a few probes and zealots. He sends out a dropship with 2 vultures and a tank but it gets spotted by an observer. Grape still doesn't do anything to deny it and the vultures and tank get a significant amount of kills.
Spots the dropship clearly for like 5 seconds, fails to do anything with his units and proceeds to lose 5 goons and like 10 probes to 1 tank and two vultures. Come on!
grape tries to tech switch to carrier, but Sea is already researching goliath range and moving out with his vulture/tank army toward grape's upper bases.
grape catches him slightly out of position, and storms everything, but it's not enough. He's driven back, losing most of his army.
Zealot bombs take out quite a few tanks, but more reinforcements are streaming in, and tanks are sieging the 10.5 after having taken out the warping in 12.
Carriers show up to save the 10.5, but it's too late. A final volley from the tanks takes out the nexus before they die to the carriers.
grape attacks the 6 with his carriers and Sea doesn't have enough goliaths to stop it since the majority of his army is up north. Sea decides to counterattack and takes out the 9.5
grape pushes with his entire army toward the 4, taking it down. Sea responds by pushing into grape's nat. He decides to retreat in an attempt to save his base instead of going for a base trade.
Grape is no longer mining either. 3 tanks sieging his 10.5 and goliaths attacking his nat. All his probes are in his main mining gas now. It's a last ditch effort. The 10.5 goes down right before zealots arrive to take out the tanks. Grape immediately retakes it.
Vulture raid takes out a few HT right under the carriers. Grape attacks into sea's goliath pack with all his carriers, losing most of his interceptors. Two HT manage to storm 20 or so SCVs down at Sea's last mining base.
Even in 2011, carriers are still the bane of merely good terrans. I can't believe after all this time, Flash is still the only person who doesn't crumble to mass carriers.

Honestly I don't even understand why the coaching staff made that decision in the first place. When I saw it I basically went "wtf this would make him play worse"

I don't understand the reasoning behind that either. Hopefully Mumyung will come to his senses and realise this.
I'm thinking KHAN should send out Brave. His vP and vZ are both solid (Saint/Han), and although his vT is terrible, Lights vP is equally as bad, and given the map aztec...

Brave is now 13-8 vZ. Granted, a lot of those are pretty terrible opponents (such as his mini-rivalry with freaking Peace), but you can't luck your way into a >60% PvZ winrate. You just can't.
Ugh, PvP is my least favorite matchup. Has the build order rock-paper-scissors aspect of ZvZ, but longer games and with less clean battles. I hope Light or Hyun plays.

The units are much slower than zvz ones(and benefit from high ground advantage) so microing and tactics plays a much larger role than BO advantages in comparison.
It seems that Brave has a higher win % in PvZ compared to that of Hyun's. However, Hyun has played more games, and against some more notable Tosses too. Hmmmmmm......

Perhaps. Goon micro is the one thing about the matchup that's nice to watch. But I don't like a straight up Reaver > Observer > DT > Reaver win, nor messy zealot/dragoon battles with Storms everywhere. So hard to tell who's fighting better.
Interesting game with an interesting base trade, though Brave definitely got the better of the trades, especially considering that his main was only damaged compared to Hyun's destroyed main and nat.
Glad to see Khan winning and preserving my Liquidbet, though I'm sad that Stork didn't get more kills. Perhaps Bisu is the true All-Kill king...

That's because Hyun didn't target the nexus when he dropped the main. Silly silly.
Edit: But the biggest joke of all is not sending Tyson at all. Hasn't played since his all-kill against ACE. I'm not watching another MBC game until they send Tyson. -_-
Good to see Khan's protoss rookies performing (even if it wasn't that beautiful in some cases). Now we must just avoid to come back to the season beginning when the old players were slumpng and the rookies keeping the team alive. Hopefully Stork and Great will resume their proleague performance.

Awful play from Jaehoon, Saint, and Hyun.
Coaching was also terrible. I can't fathom why they would send out Saint over Tyson.
Terrible match all around and a huge let-down.
Sending Saint over Tyson was one mistake but at least he got one win. They had another chance to send Tyson against Brave but no. Golden opportunity to overtake Hite and the coaches blew it.

He saw Brave taking down two of his bases, panicked a bit, and tried to respond in kind. Course, he had nowhere near the numbers to take down two bases at once, so he just ended sacrificing half his few hydras to the wall-in cannons at the nat.
Should have focus fired the Nexus and snagged a couple of gateways.

Agree with you.
Before this, I never feel frustrated like this especially when MBC lose but not today.
First, please give the captain position to Saint back.Jaehoon play worse since he become a captain. Second, please and please send Tyson again instead of Hyun or Saint. Third, I will consider not to watch MBC play again if the coach not send Tyson.
by the way, thank you to Kiante for the streams. and Congratz to Khan.
At this point I think I'm going to avoid watching MBC until they start winning again. I've also all but given up hope on them finishing in the top 2 spots. Just please make the play-offs, thank you.
Someone's gotta be captain and MBC has exactly six possibilities. Given that Sea, Light and Tyson are the three youngest, at least a year younger than Jaehoon and almost two years younger than Hyun and Saint, it is obvious that Hyun, Saint and Jaehoon are the only serious candidates.
Saint was the previous captain, and performed atrocious during his captaincy. Given that Hyun is not much better than Saint, I can see the rational in allowing Jaehoon to be captain, since his level of play has evolved greatly as of late. Jaehoon's stronger play should then compensate for his captaincy. This, sadly, seems not to be the case.
As they have to choose between weakening their zerg or their protoss line, i guess it's better to weaken their protoss. However, if they insist on not playing Tyson, all of this goes straight out of the window

Taking the captaincy away from Saint (a veteran of 8 years) is not going to make him a better player. The captain also has to help train rookies, Saint is good at that. He was captain from 2007-2008 before they switched to Shark.
There is no good reason why Jaehoon should be captain. He can't cope with extra pressure, everyone knows that. He is also very introverted so his leadership skills are questionable. And why weaken a protoss line that was the backbone behind MBC's successes in rounds 1 and 2. MBC's zerg line is one man, Hyun, that's it. If you want to boost the zerg line, just wait for Dream.t)check to be drafted next month. Moving the captaincy away from Saint just messes up team dynamics.
On February 21 2011 23:29 ShadeR wrote: What exactly are the duties of captaincy which turns a player shit?
Keep everyone together, pay attention to the team's morale, try to make them listen to you... that's what I can think about. Basically everything that can create pressure to interfere with your performance.
Yep knew it, January trolling once again, playing Brave over Jangbi and Great right after I trade him for BeSt. Oh well at least I got similar points this week.
How MBC managed to lose is beyond me though since they took down Stork without losing a game.
