haha well said ! and thanks for the OP !
I am still so sad to see him fighting Stork.
It's so much like Bisu = Goku and Stork = Vegeta.
And Shine is fucking Piccolo lol.

and who is jaedong then? cell because he and goku never seriously fought and the one fight they had ended in a lame way? ya, good analogy.

Buu because of his regenerative abilities and the power of rage. Also he's pretty friendly outside of battle. They fought when Goku went SSJ3 briefly, and there's always the excitement created by another challenge between the two.
Flash must be Evil Buu then, the counterpart to Buu and a being of pure evil.
If you are not Bisu, chances are I hate you.

The audience makes JD accidentally cancel his spire.
And after Buu was reborn as Uub, Goku didn't even need to use the Spirit Bomb, he won with superior skillz.

Anime is one of the most significant elements of western culture that is shared with Korean culture. It'd be a shame if you didn't know why Bisu made his hair yellow or why Flash called himself Kira and such.
If you are not Bisu, chances are I hate you.

I fully expected Kal and Bisu to advance, but Shine played great games despite falling short. He dominated Really with impeccable timings and good micro, great decision making against Bisu (not to mention could have won if not for bisu's gosu defence), good late game management playing from behind against Kal and made it difficult for him to win despite such a large advantage. It could have been a closer game if Kal didn't have such great storm to help him close out the game; shine's defiler lurker ling defence was pretty damn gosu as well.

I think Shine reaction was terrible in the first game. He took forever to cancel his nat hatch and he lost a lot of time by bringing 4 drones at his nat for nothing. If he had just canceled the hatch as soon as the cannon was building and didn't move his drones, he could have afforded 1 lurks + 6 glings extra for his push, and who knows if Bisu would have hold it.

I totally agree regarding the second game though. Great game by both players, and if Kal probe micro hadn't been that good, the game would have ended there.

edit : lol I didn't expect the Dragon Ball analogies to go that far !

the extra lurker would've been a matter of gas, which meant Shine would've needed to take a second gas if he wanted to get more lurkers.. a dead giveaway. I'm thinking even if there were more lings, Bisu would've held because he still had the cannon in his nat mineral line which was untouched (and protected by probes). Bisu's strategy of cannon rushing was just really smart, because whatever advantage Shine had, Bisu's planned followup of mass speedlots would've just made it too difficult for Shine to defend at three places at once.

Shine moved his drones the moment he saw the second pylon was being built to try and force the cancel. I think Shine's decision to try and keep his natural when he realised it was a cannon rush wasn't a bad one per se; if he had abandoned his natural he would have been immediately put in an terrible position. In his shoes, it was the right decision to make. I think shine was caught in quite a spot because only when he tried to attack the pylon did he realise that the positioning of the pylon meant that he could only attack it with 3 drones and thus cannot force the cancel. There was no way of shine knowing that'd be the case if he did not encounter it before and thus given what he knew prior to that it was a good decision to make. It was only in hindsight that if he had cancelled immediately at that point it would've been optimal, but the fact that he did cancel was more important in my opinion. I would attribute his hesitation to being caught off guard and I do agree that it did make shine's decision to pull drones at all look bad, but I've to say that bisu's execution of the cheese was flawless. And yeah he definitely should've cancelled earlier when the cannon warped in but I don't think it made much of a difference overall.

Hey, I just had a question about Really's SCV in Set 1 - Kal vs. Really:

Between 0:20 - 0:30 (Small VOD Thread upload), Really's bottom SCV returns the minerals to the CC and whips around to head back to the patch. Kind of looks like mutalisk micro. Is he actually controlling the SCV back to the patch to make him turn that fast? If he is, that's a pretty good idea.

Anyway, back to the VOD, hehe.

That cannon rush was so sexy...Bisu is seriously balling!!

Stork is still my favorite protoss by far, but I've gone from mere respect for Bisu (I thought he was a cool player, but I never really liked him) to being sort of a fan...which is saying a lot because I am way too much of a fan for the players I like

Go Bisu, but I hope Stork beats you 2-1 in a really good series >:D

Kal vs. Really was such an epic PvT - easily top5 of 2010. Would love to see them in a Bo5. It would be Bisu vs. Iris all over again.

It was 2-1. No doubt the odds are with Bisu, but it is far from a guarantee. Indeed, great games is what we all hope for.

Just caught up with all the Ro32 games thus far, can't wait to see Bisu's upcoming game against Stork; Kal's mechanics were really impressive. Hoping that a Protoss survives through to the final.
