What was Calm doing once he got Guardians? It just looked like he zoned out and stopped controlling anything at that time. The drones weren't mining, scourge/Overlords were sitting ducks for wraiths. It was a really sad way to lose when the other guy basically had nothing, a 23 supply consisting of 19 scvs and 2 wraiths.

The protoss era was after Katrina and Swarm Season was wayyyyy after Bluestorm. Not sure what maps though, but yeah they played a crucial role.

The golden age for protoss started with maps like Medusa, Chupung-Ryeong, Colloseum II and Destination.

Then came maps like Outsider, Neo Harmony (P graveyard in PvZ) and Heartbreak Ridge which were a bit Zerg favored and allowed Zergs to have good fighting chance against Terrans while Terrans struggled against Protosses.

At least that's how I remember. Probably more research would shed more light into exact impact of maps on race domination.
