A test, they say, the fans of olde. Between KT and SKT, who tonight shall fold? KT in first, smiles: so close to the crown. SKT hopes to turn that upside down. For now, though just a Best of Five, (Perhaps) in a few weeks the teams shall strive, In a Best of Seven, the true test of a team The fans will cheer, shout, and scream, Watching each and every match with baited breath, Knowing that each win puts the other closer to death. Four for the future, three for tonight, Either way hoping for a damn good fight.
Though results matter not in this penultimate week, Is tonight the night Flash breaks his Ace losing streak? Or will fantasy come and again shut him down, Or shall Bisu or BeSt once again make KT frown?
This poem was written in ten, don't hate. Instead, just remember that u gotta sk8.
Do not attempt to corrupt Bisu by combining him with the garbage that is Flash. Also, I'm surprised how little Flash fanboyism there has been recently. Jaedong/Bisu seem to be way more popular.

and flash vs bisu have historically been fantastic games, except maybe the first series. (where flash earned himself the nickname cheddar terran.)
btw to the question why there is more bisu and jd fanboyism than flash: imho this is not only caused by flashs recent slump, its also a consequence of the playstyles. both bisu and jd got a very charismatic, interesting style while flash has a rather robot-like style, switching between bunker rushes, 14cc and defwhoring.
Time for a new build. I predict meching in TvT then late game switch to bio
Build already been used and happened. I believe it first started when going up against Zero earlier on the season that was called "FINAL FANTASY" build.... so you're half right.
GO SKT! GO BISU! GO BOXER! GO HYUKKKK! Hyuk Hyuk Hyuk!

You have it backwards. It was called final fantasy , but it was bio into late game full on mech on NMG.
That was sort of the joke and you intellectualized it and killed humour D:

I just hope they play Hyuk this time. When it comes down to the wire and Bisu loses it for SKT, it's so disappointing. If Hyuk blows it, it will be entertaining at the very least. And if he wins, victory will be that much sweeter.

I still think it has something to do with Savior.
It wasn't that long ago that Bisu was one of the most hated players on TL. Sure he had his fans, but his anti-fans outnumbered them significantly. No more. Part of that is he hasn't been as threatening lately, and everybody kind of misses having a Protoss equivalent to Flash/JD, but I think perhaps a bigger reason is Savior's ex-fans no longer feel bitter toward Bisu for his trashing of Savior.
Plus the migration of those ex-fans to the non-terran fanbases...

Haha I wasn't giving you shit, more like taking a cheap shot at SC2.
Hm.... that orange is growing on me, at first I thought it was hideous but now it's a great uniform. At least better than the last time orange was attempted. (Khan >.>)
You have to love Hoejja just for his smile. Him being the only lefthanded progamer (that I know of), helping Nal_Ra, having similar name as Nal_Ra, and using exciting crackling strategies (if he can get that far) are all pluses too.

Hoejja does some really nice things with zerglings. Unfortunately, he missed the bandwagon when all other zerg players learned how to use mutalisks back in early 2009.

Hoejja's a cute kid. We'll see more of him now too, since KT's already locked on #1 so they need to work on their depth for PL finals

Lol on liquidpedia, it says that hoejja is well known for his muta and ling micro :p
Hoping Bisu can get the win, though Tempest is a pretty strong up-and-coming (ok maybe not new but been playing a lot more recently) protoss who is amazing with high templar.
I love the way that "having more dragoons and actually controlling them" is "Bisu holding with good micro". And what was the deal with the forge wall? Then, no micro in the final fight at all.
I was going for Bisu so I got to watch an ace match while my code ran, too =(
This dumb attitude of assesing a player unworthy without contemplating the nature of the loss gets worse every time.
Look, people, your head is not going to cave in if you so much as devote a minute or two thinking through what you're going to write; 3 gate goon vs. DT rushing is a BO loss. That Bisu managed to drag the game so long was impressive on itself.
These posts are as annoying as fucking vuvuzela. Yes, Bisu hasnt come back to the form he had early 09, but the counterpart of the posts that claim so which devote the entirety of their lenght to mindless affirmations of how Bisu obviously sucks because he couldnt fend off this BO loss are plain stupid.
It really doesn't matter anymore whether or not SKT wins, but we need more Bisu wins. PvP doesn't seem to be going well for him at all. Same with Best. That being said, I do like Tempest as a player.

God damnit.
People yell at progamers for failing to dodge hydras with 80HP, why can't we yell at Bisu for failing to dodge dragoons with 180?

In all fairness though, Bisu's control in the final fight was abysmal. Not to say amazing control would have certainly won him the game; but it wouldn't have yielded such a lopsided final confrontation in that game.
Best and Bisu lost to dark templar, why the heck didn't they just do the standard build, get the obs out and out macro their opponents instead of doing crazy things like 3 gate goon or 1 base dark templar ?

I'm really disappointed !
Cause after 3 losses at the hands of 4 gate you'll be writing why the fuck don't they just get a dt out, would've won the game.
Tempest had a decisive build order advantage and didn't make any mistakes. There was nothing Bisu could have done.
Though the concept of a bo loss is somewhat relative. I'm sure that all of the "gosu" foreigners in Tempest's situation would have lost anyway. There's just too much difference in game sense and micro.

See with only one player posting results, its nearly impossible for you to continue in this proleague format (eg random player vs random player), you can't have snipers anymore with this kind of guessing. So really even if fantasy wins and the rest are slumping, SKT can't get it to ace. so really, what could you expect from this match?

What? Why would you say something like that as a "T1 fan". When has our zerg-line shown signs of crumbling? They haven't even got chances to play lately. We have blown a ton of PvP's lately, losing to Khan and KT's P lines... pin our defeats on the same people who helped carry us so far in the past - Best and Bisu. You aren't a T1 fan!!!!
And you can still have snipers very easily in this format... wth? How did you come to that conclusion? Yes I'm very mad Argentina lost to Germany. Bad T1 fans are to blame.

Me too. I'm very disappointed with Best's performance lately. He should have just done the very standard builds (Robo->Obs->Reaver->Expo) or something like that and then transform into the macro monster and crush everyone instead of doing cheese or fast expand builds..

Safe play=abuse. Even someone as mediocre as go.go can make use of that. You often have to take risks to have a chance to win. What would you say if Bisu did that and Tempest went for 4 gate goon? PvP is often very volatile and BO based.

Well chances are if Flash was sent out KT would of lost so KT fans should be happy.

I agree that safe play often results in abuse by less skilled players. If you can't win straight up late game, why not try to take a risk to put yourself ahead?
In fact, Bisu's slump was a result of safe play against players who just took economic risks and got away with it.
PvP is volatile and BO based but definitely not as badly as zerg
I'm not saying that Bisu had a good chance, but not microing under 2 storms is pretty brutal either way you look at it. And it is surprising to see it happen to Bisu :/

Actually, Bisu never really micros his way out of storms in pvp. Usually, though, he has a bigger advantage in macro at that point due to some earlier harass that he can sacrifice the micro and still pull out a win. At least, that's what I gather from watching Bisu's pvps.

Bisu used to defy BO losses, like vs Jangbi when he fended off a 4 Gate Goon with a 2 Gate Expo, or when he destroyed Free's 4 Gate with his 2 Gate Obs-Reaver with some exceptional micro.
What happened to that god-defying PvP Bisu had? Damn I miss BvP so much..
Same thing that happened to JvZ and FvT. Protosses got better. When you're that good, people are going to watch from you and learn. Also, superior mechanics, which is the only edge Bisu seems to have these days, will only take you so far.

Jaedong got all the way to the top with mechanics and stayed there with some innovations. He still has the JvZ power. Mechanics can take you a long way. That being said, there were times when JvZ seemed vulnerable.

AMEN! I always felt so confident when the opposite descided to go for crazy all-ins and stuff. Bisu never lost(notice the past tense) to those kind of builds, although he had disadvantage.

Thing is, it is pretty hard to micro against DTs. His goon micro already saved his ass from those DTs that were going to rape his main. Bisu isn't god, he can't overcome a deficit 1 base vs two with goons + 1 reaver vs 6 cannons plus two templars. Thats just hard.
SKT with its golden line up and came out 1-3 against Non-Flash KT.
I still have hope for Bisu though. That was a pretty huge BO loss and Bisu handled it rather well. If Tempest didn't discover that backstab drop, the game might have turned out differently.
I used to be a huge Bisu fan when he was at his peek... The way he handled his games was pure art. All I see now is Bisu going up and down like a roller coaster but still not seeing the magic.
