Best tries a gimmick wall in with gateway/ double forge 1 canon, it has a hole in it and fails, Great slips 4 lings in and gets way ahead vs Best's mediocre probe micro. Great then goes for 2hat hydra slow drop.

It's a new map though, walls take time to be built, even in the pro scene. He seemed to have the right idea though, but that doesnt cut it T.T.

Even the micro in Best`s base was noting spectacular,but the WTF moment was how best could let great sneak 4 from 6 zerglings in his main in the first place..He should have used atleast 3 probes to guard the choke and prevent the lings from going in the main and another 4 probes to defend as much as they can until the cannons warp.Actually pulling all of his probes would have been much better considering how much mining time he lost trying to defend against 4 zerglings in his base till the zealot popped.

Canata's supply is a bit vulture-inflated I think
and free just has excellent pushbreaking / stasis / battle-picking.
Canata keeps getting his entire army stasised while free has a huge army, then suddenly canata reinforces with half a group of units and keeps evaporating all of free's units. 3-2 Terran Mech is imbalanced.

Canata has been ahead solidly for a good while. Free managed to hold on with great fights and mass units. But the 2-3 metal (opposed to 0-0-2 Protoss) is damn hard to handle. A carrier switch would have been doomed by upgrade and production levels, not to speak of the timing window that Canata could have exploited.

He has turrets up all around his bases. Recalls are unlikely. He has a good economy and a strong army. He has one thing to really worry about: Stasis. And he couldn't do anything about them all game. He seldom split his tanks well and he landed virtually no meaningful EMP's. I don't hate Canata (except when he's delaying games with 20 minute late gg's), but that was terrible.
canata is pretty bad i have to say playing quite aggressive with his first units while taking a third then he masses a lot o units but is unable to push properly. all the time 3 tanks or so get stasised wtf was that if i have 2 min only as third/fourth base i'd expect the terran to spread out his tanks perfectly ;(

I guess it depends on what you want to see in a game. The action was non-stop, but it was like watching two people just punching each other. Whoever punch the hardest wins. No finesse or deception. There were few extremely good or bad plays either way.
Whereas great vs best game 2 was simply entertaining.

Jangbi's probe scouts early - afraid of what terror Ruby might bring down on him. Tries to be annoying by harassing the scv building the rax, but is swatted away by his fellow brother.
Now the probe can only run in mechanical terror as the first marine is done training - but it can't escape - the marine coldly shoots it down
scv in Jangbi's main and the zealot is too pathetic to be able to do anything about it - Jangbi teching to robo in hopes it might give him a chance at life.

One thing I liked in Free's first game was seeing defensive recalls used by Free. So many times protoss players these days send endless 'failcalls' against fully-turreted, mined and science vessel-patrolled mains while their expansions crumble around them. I mean of course offensive recalling can be hugely effective, but these days most good terran players are too ready for them and the protoss just ends up throwing away their units. Free was smart and recalled to the 5 o' clock expansion three times when it was in trouble thus keeping his economy strong.
