Oh and Inka is going now? This makes two years in a row Inka doesn't win a quali yet still plays in the finals. ^_^;
Must have been random or at least semi-random since I played 4th in ONE qualifier while others have placed top 4 in several qualifiers, some 2nd places and 3rd places obviously. I did my job and declined it, dunno how it works but they did what they did.

This is G5's year. I can feel it.
He's placed like one spot out of the sweet spot the past 2 years I think. 3rd last year (losing to Louder in the semi's) and top 2 went to grand finals... In 08' he got 2nd, losing to Nony after being up 1-0 in the last bo3. and then there was only one usa spot in grand finals that year, only Nony went. I forgot how G5 did in 07 but I know 2 players were sent that year, Nyoken and somebody else, I think Incontrol.
USA will definitely only send 1 player this year yes? If not it'd be AWESOME to see G5 and Nyoken both go.

Nyoken didn't even qualify, he went because whoever won couldn't go, and the other guy couldn't go. Then they asked Nyoken. He went and lost to JohnRambo in a TvT on Azalea T_T

Oh and this year is Zlashers! He has tried so hard to make it so far! All of that practice for the past ten years finally paid off! (everyone won't be able to go because of a sickness and they'll invite him!)

Nyoken definitely didn't Inka his way to grand finals, he qualified legit, get ur facts straight u time warp user. Dunno about the JohnRambo part but I know Nyoken qualified in 07 for grand finals on his own.
I went back and checked the 2007 R&S thread just to make sure, nyoken made it out of his group. lost to skew right away in the winners bracket then raped Artosis and beat Skew in the losers bracket finals and then lost to incontrol taking 2nd place and making grand finals.

Nah you are just wrong across the board
Nyoken took second and skew took 3rd with artosis taking 4th. Nyoken and I went to Seattle for the World Finals.
Everyone qualified from a offline prelim etc.

wcg staff has been pretty delinquent this year imo

most of the online only qualifier years it's been delinquent. Last year we at least had designated locations to show up (east/west) and out of 10 qualifiers we had refs for like 2 of them. This year has been lul.

as far as spectating, http://us.wcg.com/nationalfinal , is the link for the information on the event, but I'm not sure what the actual ticket is, I think you might have to buy a ticket to the Universal Studios Theme park to get in? (which would kind of suck, $60+) but I'm not sure

if you have ppl that want to spectate they're most likely going to have to buy a ticket to get into universal. and then they're most likely going to have to buy a ticket to watch wcg, i can't remember if in 2007 if you could watch the games for free if you were in the theme park. i'm 99% sure observers have to pay to get into the theme park
