If the stars align today, Hite should be able to win 3-0 or 3-1. If not, they're pretty screwed because Effort is pretty much going to beat anyone Hite has.

have you seen HoGiL's ZvP? It's not that unlikely that he can win here
do you think Hogil has better ZvP than Shine? :/
He hell knows how to macro correctly at least. Shine is like a watered down Kwanro at most - Kwanro knows how to play an endgame when it comes to it and is a whole lot smarter with his all ins.

HoGiL has much better management than Shine and overall, his ZvP i think is much better. Just like Idra said, Shine is all about early aggression.
It doesn't matter if shine is all about early aggresion. He took down Stork and Bisu in Bx series. Whether it's by management or early aggresion he's shown better ZvP than Hogil.
Well it's your fault if you cant defend a 3hatch hydra off cross positions (really, this map is HUGE and he ran into the first hydralisk @ the middle of the map). You're supposed to be a progamer (and an OSL finalist at that) or something, lol.

I don't think he has shown *better* ZvP. Yes, he has beaten great opponents, but the games he won (except for game 1 vs Stork) are very much alike (early and mid-game aggression) and movie perfectly countered him.

I think the better indicator is that there are 4 Hydras outside your natural sniping your forge, in which case it's time to cut probes and put up a ton of cannons ASAP.

I thought results are what matters? When Flash was raping every protoss with his dbl armory build did we all say he wasn't that good at TvP? It shouldn't matter if the guy kills the best 5 protoss players on the planet with 9 pools in a B03 series - he's just beaten and them and should get his credit.

I am sure Bisu would have beaten him 3-0 if the they played now. It's not that when FrOzen beats Jaedong, he suddenly becomes super gosu TvZ.
wow effort looks shattered, mabey it has something to do with him losing? I like how you can see leta trying to play like flash with mega tank count :D

I think the rule is you cannot call out "GG" or "So and so GGs" on LR thread if the game has yet to end. Saying you think someone should gg is not a crime.

Leta beat Hoejja with mass tanks before the Flash Calm game fyi.

There was a game last week where Action beat a terran on a twilight set map (moon glaive? I don't know all the maps in the pool this season) with quick guardians and lurkers. It happens.
Well, effort was way behind from the start. That ovie snipe really hurt him. His 3rd gas was behind for about 2 minutes! I think though that he would've turned it around if he used those guardians more proactively, morphing them at the bottom right and attacking Leta's main instead of using them to defend his nat. He did have swarm by then anyway.
His use of drones and overlords to soak up damage from glaive wurms was pretty nice too. Let that be a lesson to all zergs: DO NOT ENGAGE over the opponent's base, he will deal more damage with an equal number of units cause of bounces hitting buildings, drones, overlords, etc.
sAviOr is still playing really well. He just has a few major deficiencies that are keeping him back - a lot. One of these things is his muta micro. He still has good game sense and can still micro lings really well - but his muta micro is awful. It is worse than it has ever been. His ZvT needs work in general. I guess when you get older, you just lose that ambition and energy to keep fighting to be original, to be the best, to be perfect, etc.
I don't know what happened to sAviOr, or to BoXer, NaDa, Oov, etc. I hope that one day, an old legend will make a massive comeback. That would be, to me, more amazing than anything.

give savior a break
savior was never that good at zvz and since round 1, the only non zerg player he got to play was flash, kal, and pusan...
flash is owning everybody, kal is the new ace of stx and pusan... savior won against pusan so whatever
edit: i'm only referring to proleague btw
TY for this. These are all good points.
Outside of that - coaches don't care about what happens in the Proleague matches. They only go by what they see in practice, what their players tell them, what kind of builds players can come up with on what map, etc.
Most people erroneously think that the map dictates what player the coach will send. It is the other way around. It is the players that dictate what maps they think they can do best on. This is why sometimes the respective picks for Ace matches can appear random. The coaches know who has the best potential builds against likely races on whatever map.
Lol, that Hogil Movie game. Is that all Zerg do vs Protoss now? Getting a shitload of hydras before Protoss can tech to anything with a hope to stop them? Shine tried vs Movie (and after it failed the game wasn't even over immediately, so it even seems pretty safe), Jeadong did it to Kal, and now Hogil to Movie again.

actually I think jaedong did it because kal threw off his hatchery timing so bad that his spire would be so late that sairs would kill ALOT and since outsider is a sair /reaver map he got put into a weird situation.
Right now in the early-mid build orders toss have been doing well, so zergs have started using early hydras to make them play less greedy. In another couple weeks 2 hat muta and 2 hat lurker/lingallin will show up also at least once or twice.

It's not safe. 3 hatch hydra is an all-in because you cut drones to make a bunch of hydralisks.
And besides, there have been a crapload of standard ZvPs lately.
