6 marines is a far cry from 3 full bunkers with 8 SCVs repairing
it's still a tiny defense in terms of mineral cost but it's just so cost effective!

Yeah, but to come back from an advantage like that your opponent has to screw up pretty hard no matter how well you play. Sangho's BO choice payed off but Hogil did exactly what he had to do. In particular Hogil's reaction time on the drone harass and control in the major battles were amazing, and he's definitely the best management-zerg that Hite has ever spawned.

Also I think that's the first time I've seen a protoss bust into a zerg's natural, kill the hatchery, and still come out behind from the exchange in a progame. That and the lolreaversplosion were so bad by Sangho.

Seriously its INSANE. tbh it was more sangho's aggression that lost him the game rather than hogil doing anything special. if sangho had just contained hogil at 3 bases with his superior army instead of charging for the natural he would have had a nice economic lead to finish him off later from 3 or 4 bases. hogil played well yeah, but sangho lost himself that game Yeah, but to come back from an advantage like that your opponent has to screw up pretty hard no matter how well you play. Sangho's BO choice payed off but Hogil did exactly what he had to do. In particular Hogil's reaction time on the drone harass and control in the major battles were amazing, and he's definitely the best management-zerg that Hite has ever spawned.
I don`t know I would have to rewatch the game again, but from the looks of it Sangho was mined out at both his nat and main and Hogil had done a good job at denying him a 3rd and a 4th later, so it was not like he could just sit back and play 1 base vs 4 bases with hive tech, he had to try to finish hogil of before he got his entire side of the map. So in reality I don`t think he was that far ahead when he did his big attack. And as you mentioned Hogils harass reactions was flawless and his control in the major battles was SICK, just a perfect management game.

Trading his entire zealot/goon army for two hatcheries was not at all in his favor, he hardly killed any drones the entire game. Not to mention you could do the most logical way of deciding it by actually WATCH his games and determine that the guy has a superb ZvP. If you can`t see this from his 10 last televised ZvP then I worry for your understanding of this game.

that game wasn't that impressive, losing hatchery after hatchery and then macroed back up, surround, all basic skills. I'm baffled sangho played so poorly after beating by.hero is what's amazing to me.

Yeah, but Flash is the best terran in the world. He wins straight up and has no reason to risk going CC first because he'll be winning all the time anyways.
It seems like the intelligent thing to do as a 'good-but-not-great' Terran is go CC first more often, as it seems like everyone is throwing rock (standard) when you can easily throw paper (14cc).

Well played by Leta. What exactly can one do vs an early CC build? Besides using an early rax, the two options seem to be to punish the player's greed with a 2 fact or to get an early 3rd but both options seem to put you in such a tough spot.

Losing twice in mirror matches after getting your build order hard-countered twice does not a slump make. It's akin to getting 9 pooled when you 12 hatched twice, only without the idiocy factor.
