Until they prove otherwise, Jangbi and fbh are scum of the earth right now... Hopefully Khan makes it to the 4th set, cuz the highlight of this matchup should be Stork vs Sea, where I have Sea taking it cuz that dude has been rockin like a stockin lately, and even against the mightly stork, he will prevail.
Game 2: Jangbi vs Jaehoon: Pretty entertaining game Game 3: fbh vs Light: I love people being happy Game 4: Stork vs Sea: Cmonnn, don't pretend like you weren't gonna watch this
Yes, it looks like Khan can at least take it to ace match with Stork and Jangbi. Looking good for Khan unless Stork is feeling down from the MSL or January makes some weird ace choice.
I hate to cheer against my second favorite Terran player, but I want Stork to take this so he gets his confidence back after what happened to him in MSL.
I can't believe that Khan is an actual favorite to win this match. Great, Jangbi, and Stork should all win and Firebathero has a shot if he decides not to fail for once

Stork is probably the favorite here, but never count out Sea. Fortunately, Light will rape firebathero, jangBi still sucks horribly, and the ZvZ could go either way (though great is, sadly, the favorite here).
In the ace match, expect the ZvP sniper Saint to rape stork. Or great, if they send him.

nice banner, that is the sea god from Tolkien right? Can't remember his name though...
Nope, its poseidon. And thanks!
Edit: and its Osse you're thinking of...
Well, that, or Ulmo, who's Tolkien's major water deity (Osse is his most prominent associated Maiar) and so a closer match to Poseidon in that way. Cool banner, though.

So, what you're saying is: give Peace a chance?
(I know, I know...I'm sorry )
Anyway, as others have said, the match seems very winnable for Samsung tonight. Personally, though, I'm just hoping we can get it to Stork vs Sea.
Great vs Peace on paper seems to have an advantage for Great...but it's a ZvZ, the lamest and least predictable matchup in the game...so anything can happen. I have no confidence in FBH, but he could very well take his game, if he plays well. We'll see. I also have no confidence in Jangbi; but, again, on paper, his chances look pretty good, [i]if[/i[, again, he plays well.
Both Stork and Sea, on the other hand, have been doing well lately; this should be a great game, one way or the other.
Much as I love fbh, and much as his TvT is still decent... he lost his last game to Frozean. FROZEAN. The dude who went 0-12 last PL.
Light, meanwhile, is on an 8-game Proleague TvT win streak, including wins against Leta and Canata.
So what is this "fbh should beat Light easily" nonsense I'm seeing? I'll be very happy if firebathero does win, but if I had to put money down to save my life even my KHAN fandom isn't going to prevent me from betting on Light.
This should be an easy 3-1 or 3-0 for Khan on a normal season, too bad things have changed so much recently. Everytime I think the result is obvious it goes the opposite way lately with Khan.

1 person said that FBH will win easily =.= The rest of us say he will either fail miserably like always or that he'll somehow regain his dominant form and get a win for once. I hope he loses tbh cause i dont see Jaehoon or Peace winning and i want to see Stork v Sea
Maybe 3-2 with fbh losing... but all depends of wich fbh shows tonight, the one that makes Flash scream like a little girl because he just won the most amazing game ever or the fbh that loses against mvp or someone like that.. rofl.
The Forzean game with FBH was just bad. I don't want to sound like I'm taking away from Frozean, but I think it was pretty obvious FBH horribly underestimated his opponent and thought he could do some humiliation with 3 port wraith. I wish he would realize that before one has the right to try any kind of crazy humiliation game play, he has to win a few games straight up first to prove his worth.
This is why he almost lost to Skyhigh by attempting nukes, why he threw away game 1 against zero by going bcs, and why he lost to ForzeAN./.

Whats your foundation for this? FBH is 3-7 in his last 10 TvT and if i'm correct he recently lost to frozean. Not anything to be proud of.
The number of people predicting that Jangbi will lose is just ridiculous. I understand he's slumping but this isn't PvZ, this guy beat up Stork 3-0 last MSL and right now his opponent is fucking JAEHOON, who a) is a protoss and b) lost to a SLUMPING FIREBATHERO.

I'm seeing this as well. Though I do hope Samsung drop one game so Stork gets to play Sea.
great and Jangbi shouldn't have too much trouble with Peace and Jaehoon. Although I'd like to see firebathero win a game, Light is a fairly formidable opponent for him, especially in his current state. Although Sea is good, Stork has just been on a tear(mostly), and can take him out. If great or Jangbi drop either of their games, I could see the ace being Stork and Sea rematch, with Stork taking it again.
I feel awesome cause I sent firebathero a good luck tweet.

KHAN 3-0 and Stork > Sea if it even gets to that
Because Jangbi's slump is so bad he was getting 2-0d by estro B team terrans with bad tvp, Jaehoons PvP is better than his PvT, Either way Jangbi SHOULD win, but hes playing so bad that losing to Jaehoon wouldnt be that suprirsing, youd just go "lol".

My take on it is that Stork by nature is a creative player, which doesn't work against JangBi since they are on the same team and JangBi has stronger mechanics. Bisu however has even stronger mechanics and thus beats the normally uncreative JangBi (today's game was an exception).

I wish light won though, he did many clutch things during the game, specially at the beginning, and close to the end, upmagic just rode his advantage
You can't say that Upmagic rode a lead to a win considering how many times the lead changed in this match.
Light was clearly ahead after the opening, but Upmagic came back from nice wraith usage. However Upmagic then suicides dropships and tanks and shit giving Light the lead again. However Upmagic built more units than Light and played damn aggressively. Most terrans don't have the balls to go for base trades in TvT when they have an advantage, not Upmagic. Kid has spirit. Not to take anything away from Light of course, he played fantastic as well.
Well the opening heavily favoured upmagic, after the first wraiths killed a bunch of scvs upmagic could have stayed in base and macro to win. Light played very nicely with his vults, specially when he defended with mines, like 3 times.
Light made more subtle and understandable mistakes, like a drop when upmagic was around with his dropships to.
Upmagic just plain threw units at light and light made very cute things like the wraith harras, the wraith split, the mine defence in his base to neglect drops.
I know upmagic's wins doesnt come from nowhere, but light was fighting uphill for almost all game long, while even when they had even bases, upmagic just had so many minerals he could afford teching to bcs while still pumping units.
Dunno, i feel light was way more focused and played better.

fact is you're wong, he wasn't.

Yeah he just came off a huge win streak but his PvT is just wtf. Stork's PvT is usually an artform. Fair enough, his game vs Canata might have been due to lack of prep but he had absolutely zero excuse to lose this game vs Sea. He's been Khan's go to guy for Outsider since start of last season. He knows this map like the back of his hand.
Just look at what he lost to. 2 vultures from dropship wiped out nearly all the probes from his 3rd. When he scouted the port before control tower was even up!! He has no excuse for that crap! And he had his own shuttle so it's not like he couldn't ferry goons up to protect his 3rd from that bs.
On top of that, he had a pylon at the minerals so he could see the dropship's approach the whole time.
Instead of defending this and doing a very fast arb tech, Stork just sat on 2 bases vs FOUR for 5 minutes while fiddling around with lone goons harassing Sea's min lines for the whopping total of like 2 kills. When you kill THREE tanks early on, that should mean Sea does not get to take his nat for a very long time. Stork didn't delay the nat for more than 2 minutes.
So what exactly did Stork do in that time? Didn't expand. Didn't bulldog. Didn't reaver harass. Didn't even tech well. You see how late that (edit) tribunal was? And he dropped that AFTER he saw Sea scan his stargate. And Stork had obs watching every single thing Sea was doing so there is no reason he couldn't come up with a proper counter to Sea's mass CC scan farm. And with how poorly Sea was defending his outer expos, Stork could have RAPED him with storm drops. Instead, Stork never even built a templar.

Plain and simple, Stork played that horrendously.
Yeah, but then, keep in mind that a player can't win 100% of the times. Stork looks tired. On the other hand, for all we know, Sea could be in his top form in that game. I mean, its not like Sea has MSL or OSL to practice for. Rofl. Fatigue can be a real factor for games like this.

Why did Stork lose this game? I'm not sure dt rush was a good option. Zergs are just too safe with their ovies protecting their drone lines these days. Without any damage from those dts, Stork was doomed to fail, regardless of what timings Hyun exploited.
Yeah, I saw those archons and I was like "whaaaaat? Archon's don't have psi storm... unless... *consults with liquipedia* ... mmm, eeee, uhhh... uh oh ^^ "

Ms. Stork is getting the better part of him. Come on Stork, don't let us down like this!
On a sidenote - Good job Sea (: Real happy he won.
stork had too many games at once. To play protoss well requires good preparation because the maps don't favour them = cannot use same style in every game whereas other races can.
why the heck did he use his temps for archons. he didnt lose any sairs yet, and he killed off a bunch of scourge already. is it so hard to makes some cannons for possible mutas and then focus on hydra counters??

Oh, it IS Roffles. I'm definitely playing that shit in between breaks. I'm gonna get you guys to like it someday. Gonna drill it into your heads.
KPop + SC. What more can you ask for?
LOL. But seriously, those cunts are horrible. And since I live in Korea, I can't avoid them no matter what. I actually know most of those songs well, and completely against my will. But hey, it's your stream, play whatever you like.

Stork is one of the biggest hit or miss players in SC history and he has been all miss all of a sudden (and he was playing SO well too).
I'm telling you, he ran out of fat reserves. It's his Paris Hilton diet.

When Protoss wins it usually involves drops, harass, nice storms etc. when Zerg win? mass hydras and A-move.
Don't act like Stork played a perfect game and was cheated out of a win by imbalance. He didn't do anything meaningful or productive in the game, didn't get off any harasses, didn't put up any pressure, he didn't do anything he needed to in order to win. Hence, he lost. It's complicated, I know, but, there you go.

What do you mean "recently"? Stork has been streaking until last night2 nights ago! Do you actually believe players can win 100% of the times? Rofl.
Are you suggesting his 4-loss streak outweighs his 10-win streak? Jeez, people are really spoiled nowadays, aren't they?
Stop saying stupid things like 100% of the time. Nobody care about stats. Look at the manner in which he lost.
And let's look at the "manner" in which Hyun used to beat Stork. It was just a timing attack. Hell, even Flash lost to timing attacks plenty of times (Hello? Forgg used timing attacks against Flash and it worked all three times?). Then again, maybe that's too complex for you to understand.

It's this and more.
Zergs nowdays don't even deny scouting, let's probe live 7 minutes in their base to see lair/spire, and proceed to 5 hatch hydra this bullshit.
Seriously. Once zergs learned to put OLs at expos with hydras underneath them, then all you need is 5sh6sh7sh8sh9sh 1a2a3a4a.

A timing attack that he had ample time to scout with FOUR corsair and two DTs roaming the map and FOUR gateways up. There is absolutely zero reason Stork shouldn't have had enough zeal/cannons to hold that rush off. Much less the 4 templar he made into archons so they could kill a grand total of 2 hydras.

And what did Hyun do? Get third delayed by 2 minutes. Mass hydras anyways, attack, win. The fact that Zerg can so easily win a game and they do it so often unless the Toss plays great just pisses me off.

Fucking ZVP, starcraft is so broken.
No. The problem is Stork used 1200 gas to make units that killed 3 hydras and some OLs.

Do you not fucking get it?
The hydras were there not because hyun scouted and planned on it, but rather they're there because of the fucking imba ZVP BO that hyun has copied to near perfection. If he saw HTs/More cannons he would have just pulled back, and in the mean time take a 4th and play that sunk/lurk/spore def bullshit when Stork can finally mass up a big enough ball. Then it's hive tech and cows/cracklings 1a2a3a4a5a6a7a8a, and short of 40 archons/reavers which Stork would not have, you can't stop that shit.
That wasn't even a 'timing attack'. It was just straight up 5 hatch hydra... Stork saw him go hydra, so you can't say he thought mutas were coming or w/e. He had plenty of info, I'm not sure what he was thinking. He didn't get far enough into that game for any kind of map imbalance to show.
calm down, I only play kor maps on motw and I was away for most of this week so I couldnt play on Desti
ZvP is seriously easy at C levels, you just need to make a shit load of hydra off mass hatches and tech switch to mutas and fuck protoss up, if you dont win then go lurk/filer/ling into ultra/filer/ling, thank you ret so much for streaming
still, stork made a bad decision by morphing 2 archons. thats how pvz looks nowadays, fighting of a bunch of hydras. but you can't blame zergs for using a very very strong bo. and i don't really know if the bisu build is of any use nowadays. imho if you scout with ur probe well enough, you can totally skip the corsair tech in the early game. but i'm only c-/c so i dont know t.t
btw classic pvz where the zerg contained the toss with lurk/ling/scourge while taking 4-5 bases was so much sadder to watch

Everyone here is just shitting their pants that Stork is losing again. And because no one respects Hyun, rather than saying, "Hyun was better than Stork for just one game, but whatever," they freak right the fuck out with humorous rage.
"What? Better because of 1a2a3a? That's stupid rawrawr fuck, starcraft is broken!"
I could be wrong, cause I sort of whatched the game with one eye, but I don't think Hyun made a 5th hatch. The way he played it imo was: Everything looks standart. Spire, Hydra den, evo, 4th hatch all standart timing, but at the time in wich he is supouse to put his 5th hatch and still be making drones he made a bunch of hydras. It's pretty much too late to start storm at that point. I mean u start it and morh ht to atchons and try to hold out.

Skipping stargate with an OL in your base and get raped by modern muta micro? No thanks.
Skipping first cosair when you already have a stargate and could score 1-2 OL kills AND scout with 150/100? No thanks.
I personally think that for a Protoss to counter the modern day 3 Hatch Mutalisk - 5 Hatch Hydralisk is to go one base. Anyone else agree with me on this?

certainly on pro level, all those new zergs who have come out of nowhere (e.g. Hyuk) are uncomfortable against one base builds.

Hmmm Google translate tells me "Of the deceased will be sorely missed" appears several times in that crying Sea story and in the comments. Did someone close to him die?
Sea is crying because his best friend just died in a car accident
Three storms would have sufficed in preventing that loss, that's all there is to it. I can't really see why stork felt the need to get two archons, it was clear he was preparing a defense fairly early with that number of cannons.

Wah wah wah. Dude this is how it's SUPPOSED to be. Protoss is always gonna be outnumbered, out econ'd, and out maneuvered; THAT'S WHAT MAKES THE MU SO AWESOME! It's a STRUGGLE for the Toss. Played inspired or go home, and Stork decided to go home. Don't get me wrong, I love Stork, he's my second favorite Toss next to Movie, but I just love the idea of the evil all powerful Zerg facing off against a hopelessly out-gunned and undermanned clan of valiant Protoss warriors where every second of their existence is survival. And as a side note, how do you think Zerg's felt when Forge FE was "new"? There was zero response for almost a year on how to win that MU, it's just part of the meta-game, deal.
