Can people stop making fucking OPs if they don't plan on updating them? It's really getting annoying because it's happening a lot more often.

This is very, very important. Please stop making LR threads if you aren't willing to edit match results as they happen. This is even more important to point out in this era of standardized SPL thread templates. It's not enough to just list the matches in the OP. We can read that in the calendar. I also see a lot of "predictions" that are just one line of cursory, unjustified bullshit like "I think SKT 3-0 but if it gets to ace then 2-3." The same thing happens to the recommended games, but there it is a little more excusable.

So yeah... if you make an OP, please be prepared to update the game results, edit in stream options, and provide thoughtful, elegant predictions (or just compile stats so we don't have to find them ourselves). Otherwise please leave the OP to someone else!

Normally I would agree with you but the OP clearly put in a lot of effort into the post, with good graphics and pre-game interviews and etc. The amount of effort he did is a lot greater than the effort it would take you to browse the thread to find the results, which is almost the point of LR threads (you find out what happened, how it happened, etc.). When OP's effort > your effort, in my opinion it's okay to let him fuck up once in a while and not update the results immediately.

No , the man is right. Its not the first time it happens with me, that I leave the OPs unattended. Its not really the reason thats important, [nobody cares why a service isnt provided, the fact is that it isnt provided. Still the worst case scenario was to get here exactly one hour later with all the games already finished. If Canata was playing a TvT in the first set I was going to be here exactly for the second game, which would be ok

Nobody cares why a service isn't provided because people are assholes. It's not like you get paid to do this, and it's not like you'll be fired for being human and making a mistake with daylight savings time (which millions of people do in one way or another every time). People need to appreciate the effort you put in, need to understand that sometimes SHIT JUST HAPPENS and you can't tend to the thread, and that it's not too much effort to open the entire thread and search for "-" and click enter a few times to get to the results.

EDIT: Don't be stupid, don't stop making quality OPs because you missed an hour due to daylight savings time (happens what, twice a year potentially?).

I wasn't so much criticizing one person in general - I understand Disciple makes sick OPs, and I respect that. I was more venting out of frustration that it's happened a lot lately, and some of them were shitty OPs. Honestly this is a perfectly acceptable reason here, I did not know that this had happened. Another side of this frustration comes from when I got a PM from mod staff telling me finish them or don't make them because I missed the end of one LR thread.

Disciple - please don't take this personally, I was ranting at a general trend here, your thread happened to be the unfortunate venue. I really enjoy your OPs actually. Please keep making them. Honest mistakes happen, DST fucks with everyone.

I know that this was before you knew the full situation and you haven't tried to persistently argue the point. I have no problem with you, and I know that you weren't targeting anyone. Unfortunately your post brought out the assholes in the thread, but that's not your fault.

PS - Happy birthday!

Yeah.. sorry about that. Didn't mean to start a shit storm.

PS - Thanks!

So he's a drama queen because he quit before I even offered my extremely mild criticism. That's 2 people who toppled his house of cards. One of whom had a quite angry post but which was one run on sentence, the other of which was really tame. In fact, I would say oBlade's post was very polite.

Basically disciple, I don't know if daylight savings time is some sort of emotional time for you but chill out dude.

My first response was reserved and explanatory. After that, when others began to continue criticizing disciple even after the DST revelation, is when my intolerance for your intolerance kicked into high gear.

Also, I think you are referring to me in the last part of your post, because disciple has actually sided with you from the start. If that is the case, then read what I said above.

About my commentary. A guy said I am a huge attention whore. I said "why because I contribute to the sc community?"

"Contributing more shit to a pile of shit, doesn't make the shit any better, just makes the shit shittier, especially with your shitty attentionwhoring & commentating"

Just because I use colorful language and call you out on your shit, it doesn't make me the only e-amoral person here. Asshole is a personality description, and in my opinion only assholes would try to argue what you tried to argue. GTOJudge is exempt because

1. He didn't mention anyone in specific
2. Was not aware of disciple missing it only by 1 hour due to DST
3. Did not try to continue the argument after finding out the new developments

So, the assholes are self-evident.

EDIT: And yes, people have been banned before for not updating LR threads in a timely manner.

If you forgive him, tell me where are these "assholes"? I'm serious about this. Go back, read. Do you see where the aggression starts?

So he's a drama queen because he quit before I even offered my extremely mild criticism. That's 2 people who toppled his house of cards. One of whom had a quite angry post but which was one run on sentence, the other of which was really tame. In fact, I would say oBlade's post was very polite.

Basically disciple, I don't know if daylight savings time is some sort of emotional time for you but chill out dude.

I'm totally chilled man, dont worry about me

I like your interviews so I'd prefer if you kept making topics. Are you serious about potentially being banned?

Just because I use colorful language and call you out on your shit, it doesn't make me the only e-amoral person here. Asshole is a personality description, and in my opinion only assholes would try to argue what you tried to argue. GTOJudge is exempt because

1. He didn't mention anyone in specific
2. Was not aware of disciple missing it only by 1 hour due to DST
3. Did not try to continue the argument after finding out the new developments

So, the assholes are self-evident.

EDIT: And yes, people have been banned before for not updating LR threads in a timely manner.

Also, DoctorHelvetica, that's the kind of bullshit I'm talking about. Ungrateful dogs.

First Post: OP's should stick around to edit in streams.

Second Post: Why are you so angry?

??? Post: This.

I'm fairly sure there are no assholes here. I think you're just upset about disciple and lashing out.

Correct. I'm upset about people being unreasonable in their criticism of disciple after knowing his circumstances, and I'm lashing out because disciple is too nice of a person to defend himself even though the allegations against him is clearly just shit being spewed from self-indulgent ungratefuls.

Hey, lets give each other a hug and be friends ! No need to discuss this anymore. I dont want to be a drama queen, I really understand the other perspective and for that, I really apologize for my mistake. If something like that happens again, I wont have anything to do with it, I can assure you

What allegations? Whose allegations? Where?

I think this is about as far as I go for this "terrible derailment" though.

Cheer up disciple. But don't get banned.

I wont make anymore threads but I will supply with gfx the ppl who are willing to make the OPs. That will be actually a nice way to see if ppl really care about different (not saying better) OPs or just like it better the old way

The way you do it with the short interviews, banners and such makes the OPs much more interesting ^^

No one here is being a drama queen.

Some are being douches though.

When's the next update for Power Rank?

I have a strange strange feeling that the new ZvZ master will reign supreme on top of the TL power ranks...

PS Thanks for the thread disciple, the interview at the beginning definitely makes me anticipate the match more =)

PPS Happy birthday vx70GTOjudgexv!
