10 pool 12 extractor (make sunk around now if it's 12/3) tech to speedlings with half decent micro you shouldn't lose to it with that build :O | ||

I use 12 hatch on ramp and 11 pool 13 gas most of the times, and I never really die to 9/10 gate, unless I really make a huge fuckup with micro. When doing that build, you'll have 4 larva when your pool pops in, and you should get 3 drones on gas so you can make speedling. Stop mining gas when you get 100 gas. If you're feeling insecure you can make a sunken at your ramp. If you're feeling REALLY insecure you can make two, but cancel the one he's attacking at the very last moment possible (saves you a good deal of money.., and the second one will be finished anyway soon). That together will stop the rush. Then you just see if he's building a lot of zeals with OL in his base, because then you'll need more lings to expand. If he stops building zeal but teching, start pumping drones, and just keep an eye on the number of zeals he makes. Just expand then, get drone on gas, lair, muta or lurker, and you're set. Btw if you wanna expand, do this build: 9/9 extractor trick 10/9 hatch 9/9 spawn pool 8/9 drone 9/9 extractor trick 10/9 lord 8 lings + sunken if he 9/10 gates | ||

Basically I tried a 9pool, which I failed horribly at. I'm very, VERY bad with 9pool. My experience with it is almost zero, the basics of it are unknown to me. I should probably read the thread on the 9pool.. Other than that, I tried a 12hatch below my ramp, 11 pool 15gas with 2 sunkens to prevent zeal rush (Which obviously doesn't work too well!) | ||

12 hatch @choke 11pool make 3 drones so ur @13 and then hold for pool to come out, your hatch and pool should get finished at about the same time so when you make lings, you'd have about 8 also send 3 drones down to ur hatch, 1 to make another hatch, and the other 2 to make colonies but if you dont see him gathering outside ur base ( wish overlords of scouting) then forget the 2nd colony and go tell it to make gas  thats basically what i do and i seem to do fine O_o | ||
