Although if you see me doing this match's interview, you already know who won! (P.S: Contains spoiler for Khan vs CJ)

That's right! SKT1 defeats Hwaseung Oz 3-2!

The winners that made it possible!

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Canata] +

Canata: "The fact that I contributed to my team's overall win today is very meaningful."
"I also think that I will be sent out more in the future."

SKT1's "Emperor of Survivor Tournament" (T)Canata played a memorable match today, defeating Hwaseung's (P)BackHo in the fourth set.

The following is the interview with Canata.

- Your thoughts on your team defeating the number 1 ranked team, Hwaseung Oz and going on a 2-match winning streak?
▲ Today was an important match where, if we were to lose, it would be difficult for us to get into the Grand Finals. As today was an important match, the fact that I contributed to my team's overall win today is very meaningful.

- You have recorded your first Proleague win in 2 months.
▲ In Round 4, after being sent out against MBCGame, I wasn't sent out anymore. But since Round 5 is the most important period for us, as long as I perform well in Round 5, I believed that I would be able to make up for my previous slump, as well as increasing my chances of being sent out.

- Your decision to go for wraiths, as well as your scan can be said to be the key factors that helped you win today.
▲ As I practiced, I realised that Protoss going no-gate double nexus was a very tough build to deal with. As long as my Protoss enemy didn't go for that build, I had confidence in winning. I did not know what the opponent was going for, hence my early scan, and after scouting with my barracks, I realised that my opponent didn't get the backyard expo, which made me be more defensive. I also felt that there was something coming for me.

- How did you feel when you saw the two shuttles flying towards your base with your scan?
▲ His expo was late, he forwarded his units quite ahead and he also had two shuttles, so I scanned and checked. Somehow I felt that if there was an opening, he would attack me. I think the game ended when I defended against that attack.

- If you had lost, so would have your team.
▲ I personally enjoy playing the most when our team is ahead 2:1. We were behind but I didn't feel pressured. Other than my eye being too dry and hurting a bit, I was able to play my game without any burden.

- After your entry into the Round of 16 in the OSL, you seem to have gotten into a good shape.
▲ I think my games turn out better in summer. Is it because I was born in summer...? (laugh.) Up til now in my life as a progamer, I always performed badly in Winter and there will be a few days where it'll work out well, I'll start playing better and eventually hit my peak performance in Summer. Now that I've gained my momentum, I think it will last for a few months. I desire to practice hard and achieve something at this age.

- Your team will be facing Samsung Khan next.
▲ Samsung Khan is one of the top few teams, but I feel that our team will somehow win. We have (P)Bisu, who is on a roll, as well as (T)fantasy and (P)Best.

- Any final words?
▲ I am grateful to my coaching staff who gave me an opportunity to play after such a long time, and I think that since I've met their expectations, I hope to play in the next match as well. Now is the most important moment of the season. I will work hard to make sure our team gets into the Grand Finals.

+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Bisu] +

Bisu: "I felt that today was the most important match for us to get into first place."
"My rival has always been Stork hyung."

SKT1's "The Revolutionist" (P)Bisu recorded two wins today, defeating Hwaseung's (T)HiyA and (Z)Jaedong in the 2nd set and the ace match respectively.

The following is the interview with Bisu.

- Your thoughts on your team defeating the number 1 ranked team, Hwaseung Oz and going on a 2-match winning streak?
▲ I felt that today was the most important match for us to get into first place. That is why I prepared even harder for today, and although I didn't expect myself to be sent out for the ace match, somehow I did and I won, so I am very happy. Hahaha. (T/N: Bisu really said this.)

- With you winning two games today, you have furthered increased your overall winning rate, which is currently the highest in Proleague (for this season).
▲ I am constantly number 1, so rather than thinking about who is catching up and how, I feel that I just have to continue working harder. I want to continue contributing wins to my team, and I am currently not that interesting in such titles (like the one mentioned earlier).

- After the GomTV Special Match, you faced Jaedong once again after 3 months.
▲ I felt this as I played against him during the match, but he plays very well. Even though I was very ahead, he consistently sniped my observers while expanding, showing great management. If it were just another Zerg player, he would have continued massing hydralisks-mutalisks and went for an all-in attack, so I really felt that he was good, and thought to myself, "as expected of Jaedong". I will be glad to face him once again in the future. I played a very exciting match today, and if we face each other once more, I want to play yet another exciting game with him.

- The main reason which allowed you to win the ace match today?
▲ I was given the chance to play in the ace match because of Canata's win, and because my team gave me courage and strength, I was even more determined. It's because of the encouragement the coaching staff and my teammates gave me.
As for the game itself, I started off well, killing 4 overlords with my corsairs. Also, although I couldn't confirm that Jaedong was going mutalisks, after I somehow guessed it, my response was good. As a result, he couldn't do a lot of damage with the mutalisks, and I was able to win because of that.

- Did you only practice against Zergs in the ace match?
▲ I wasn't the only one who practiced. Many of my teammates also practiced, and depending on the situation today, we were planning to send out the appropriate players. Jaedong keeps on getting sent out in the ace match, so although I did practice more against Zergs, I practiced against other races as well.

- Many fans looked forward to you facing Jaedong, and got to see you two fight it out.
▲ Even I would have been excited if I were a fan. Even I would have sat in front of the TV and eagerly wait for the face-off. We played against each other often, and although it's a bit awkward coming from me, but it's because we played memorable games. I don't know if we played a satisfying match today, but I want to work hard so that if we were to face each other again, we would be able to show a match that will exceed their expectations.

- Don't you want to set Jaedong as your rival, like Boxer and YellOw's Lim-Jin-Rok rivalry?
▲ I have yet to feel that he is my rival. His aura is different so instead of me, I think Flash is more of a rival to him. My rival has always been Stork hyung. First of all, Stork hyung plays the same race as me, and not only have we played fierce matches before, but we both played well at the same period so there was no choice but for Stork to be my rival. And there must be rivalry for us to further advance and improve ourselves.

- Your winning rate is over 80%. Are you confident in maintaining the rate until the end of the season?
▲ If it's over 80%, that means I have won more than 8 games for every 10 games I played, but if I were to lose just once, my winning rate will drop dramatically. My thinking now is, although I have confidence now, nobody knows what will happen to me in the future. I want to maintain my over 80% win rate, but it's the same as my thoughts on wanting to claim the title of 'Greatest Number of Proleague Wins' - I desire it but I am not thinking too much about it.

- You will be facing Samsung Khan next.
▲ Samsung Khan lost today so I believe they will play even better in their next game. But we won today, and as much as we have won today, we must work even harder than ever. The two matches this week are very important, so I will make sure our team wins both.

zomg konadora you're a firebat!

Interesting how Bisu keeps insisting that his Jaedong isn't his rival. It's true that at some point ( more precise during the taek-bang era) Stork was actually a rival to Bisu but nowadays he's just another dragon.

Thanks for the translation!

I think its correct for Bisu to call Stork his rival.

Their games have consistently been knife edge close and epic.

I remember the chinese invite they played where they had like 3-4 epic battles and each battle the winner came out with like 1-2 surviving dragoon and not to mention their msl final series, probably right up there as 1 of the best finals ever.

Pity they haven't faced each other recently.

They keep running into each other in PL and everywhere else, fighting for the title of the best protoss all the time. + How can you forget that epic finals that is GOM S2, especially that epic final game on Loki, noone plays P better than these 2, and noone PvPs better than them, always evenly matched. How can you not call it a rivalry?

Thanks for the translation Konadora. Oz will stomp SKT in the playoffs the next time theyll meet

Thank goodness TL is back for me (it was down for a whole day I guess it might be GFWed.)

Great games and interesting interview from Bisu :D And I'm so happy to hear he metioned Stork frequently as a Take-Bang supporter. Did he just say the same thing during the latest Bisu/Jaedong interview? Now I wanna see how Stork will respond to this statement. So please win the next game and get interviewed Dinotoss!

I dont see why he was worried. Its not like they have forgg on their team.

If only Bisu had beaten fantasy in OSL then we'd have had the Bisu/Jaedong finals.

I bet he'd call it a rivalry if it would've gone 5 games (which it most likely would've). Would've been so many games in a short period of time like Jaedong/Flash did when they played GOM/MSL/OSL series and went on to win the respective ones they won.

Thanks kona!

I think what Bisu is saying, is that Jaedong is a rival in the sense of "whos the best", just as every good player is a rival in that sense. But in the sense of a personal rivalry, with some history and real, again, personal competition, its obviously stork and Bisu. Regardless of either one of their current forms, they will always be rivals with one another.

2008 OSL Bisu cried in his booth when he lost. Most Korean Protoss players I've read about all view their mirror matchup with a huge sense of pride.

Such an epic match between Bisu and JD. These two produce some of the most intense games ever when they play.

I really liked Bisu's interview and how he is (constantly) reminding everyone he is not getting caught up in titles and winning percentages... He's just playing his heart out! And I agree that Stork is his more personal rival, but if I got to chose to watch a 5-game OSL Finals between JD/Bisu, Bisu/Stork, or JD/Flash... I'd have to chose JD and Bisu. These two bring so much skill to their games that when they clash it's no longer PvZ, it's something else entirely. It's Bisu vs. Jaedong!

I definitely agree with Bisu's claim the rivalries are

Bisu - Stork

and

Flash - Jaedong

I've felt that way for at least 6 months or so. Bisu vs Jaedong has the feeling of "really good players playing each other" but nothing more, to me at least (still highly anticipated more than any other match that was played in that series!). But I remember how pumped I was to see Bo5 Flash vs Jaedong in the Gom Season 1 Intel Classic. And when they had the ace match on Rush Hour 3. The two just feel like they are rivals, something that just doesn't feel like it exists to me between Jaedong and BIsu.

And of course stork vs bisu .

i think the bisu-jaedong-flash rivalry, while not a rivalry 'per se', when watching a match between any of these players, you always get a top class game.

Nice interview even though Jaedong Oz lost. Bisu didn't seem that bad in this interview XD I really liked how he talked about the aura part.......seemed really anime-ish which makes it cool.

Didn't watch the game, but one youtuber made a very good observation. At 6:30 Jaedong cancels the spire. Perhaps if he had it earlier, he wouldn't have lost that many overlords.

Thanks Kona!

Canata seem a lot different then before, its like he was reborn or something, he look very refresh.

SKT1 lineup just getting better and better, if BeSt is not in a slump mode, they will be invincible.

Jaedong should transfer to SKT1

Canata returning stronger than ever is great for T1

Now all we need is Midas to return to form, and one of the SKT zergs to become Starleague material, and SKT will become THE strongest team of Proleague.
