Jaedong (Season 1 winner) will play Bisu (Season 2 Winner) in a Bo5 Champions match @ 22nd february 10am CET (18KST the usual gom TV time)

This means:
#1 Champion vs #1 Champion
#1 PvZ vs #1 ZvP
#1 Protoss vs #1 Zerg (well ofc after savior who will destroy every one this year beginning with himself)
#1 KESPA Protoss vs #1 KESPA Zerg
#1 KESPA vs #4 KESPA

To say it in three words: THIS WILL ROCK!

It's kinda sad how JD vs Flash and JD vs Bisu all happen(ed) after their respective MUs have fallen off a bit. I'm hoping it will be entertaining, it really doesn't matter who wins in that case.

Not that I care about spoilers, but others probably do. Should put Winner of Season 2 vs Jaedong @ GOM TV.

I can't wait! Here's hoping Jaedong doesn't play sloppy like he has been for these past few days.

Jaedong has never been taken to a deciding game in a Bo5 (not that that's always a good thing).
Also, what's the map pool and do both players get a thumbs down?

Did they talk about the GOM finals by any chance? Not that I understand German but that was a PvP.

This. All I want to see is 5 good games, I know these 2 guys are capable of showing us some of the best starcraft ever.

I'm cheering for Bisu though I think Jaedong will win.

i've never been able to really get it up for these exhibition matches, just doesn't compare to the compete/care level that is in the real tournament matches when they have their eye on a prize at the end of a long road and fight their guts out to get the glory and the kespa points.

should still be fun though!

PS. this post wasnt intended to be a downer for anyone else, sorry if it came off that way! i still think it should be good times and fun

ohh that would be quite interesting, that in addition to the JD/KTY match would combine for quite a fleshy exhibition indeed.

looking forward to hearing if this is confirmed!

>> also one thing i forgot to say in my first post is that i am definitely excited for a chance for additional games commentated by nick/daniel during the season intermission. so that's a bonus about this event

Yeah... Destination doesnt seems to be a good map for pvz as well, thats why I expect bisu to thumbs it down if he has the chance http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/maps/188_Destination/games/ZvP lol, zerg totally figured out the map, pure domination in the last like 20 games (16-4)

Hoping for a 3-2/3-1 by Bisu. Even though his PvZ has been quite shaky recently, I think he'll do well. He tends to step up his game when there's a high pressure situation/money involved.

I never want to see jaedong lose, but I would like to see him avoid being tricky or creative. I think his best shot to 3/0 or 3/1 bisu is to play 3 or 4 straightup well timed macro builds.

(this was the OSC for the OSL that Jaedong won btw)

Doesn't deciding refer to a 5th game when 2-2? So those examples are not taking Jaedong to a deciding game in a Bo5

I wish their first bo5 could have happened in a major league, even GOM, rather than in a showmatch.

Oh well, hopefully they are proud enough to give their all even in a match that doesn't matter (except for pride).

Not really, since jaedong barring fast carrier, always dismantles bisu in the course of a long game.

What's the prize?

This is important because it determines how much efforts they will put into preparing for the match.

(P)Rock 3-1 (Z)Jaedong
(this was the OSC for the OSL that Jaedong won btw)

I think he means that Jaedong has never been in a 2-2 situation in a bo5 where the winner of the game wins the series regardless.

Somehow I feel that either free or kal would have a higher chance at beating Jaedong in Bo5, or BoX for that matter.

Ick, I agree with 3-1 jd

jd's zvp is godly and bisu's pvz is mediocre compared to his other mu's

shame flash didn't win last season, flash vs bisu again would be amazing

This is awesome, but saying jaedong's zvp is #1 is not correct; julyzerg is more or less uncontested for that spot.

The question is which Jaedong will show up, i think Jaedong playing to his full ability can dismantle anyone.

I'm actually more hyped up for Bisu vs July in the OSL... To bad it's not Bo5 :p

Jaedong will prepare like a madman and win 1-3 with crazy innovative plays in two of the games. Mark my words!

edit: 3-1 / 1-3..

Oh wow, I didn't know about this... two of my favorite players in a BO5!!!
As others have been saying, don't care who the winner is as long as it isn't a 3-0 clean sweep as both GOM S2 semifinals were. 3-2 would be epic...

Time to start counting down the days...

Sad but true (for me).
Though do people still view Bisu as the #1 PvZ?
I think it's in a transitionary period, only Bisu himself will decide that with his future performances.

Really I don't think there is a clear "#1 PvZ" at the moment. Maybe Bisu can reclaim it if he performs well again vs Z, but right now both best and (especially)free are doing better vs Z than him.

Bisu's PvZ has fallen tremendously... 3-1 Jaedong I'd guess.

He could pull it out of his ass though, who knows.

I mean... Jaedong DID almost lose to Sunny... LOL

actually both best and jangbi have had mediocre PvZ as of late now that I look at it more. Both better results than Bisu though.

true. though there really aren't any protoss who are doing well vs zerg lately. blame the maps or their lack of adaptation to the more aggressive zerg style, we still have the same result. they need to step up their game

I'll still be proud of Bisu if he can get at least 1 game off of Jaedong. I know that Bisu is good PvZ, BUT he is against fucking ZvP RAPIST JAEDONG!!!!

1-3 as best case scenario for Bisu.

Bisu's PvZ looks really great when he's pummeling lower level zergs, and I hope he can win. Unfortunately, his PvZ has been looking a little iffy against tougher competition though he still is an amazing multitasker.
