Protoss: Tempest; I believe that if he improve his decision making he can become really good Zerg: HoeJJa; I would say obviously Effort if he was in the poll. However, I think HoeJJa has a potential even though he got totally dismantled by Bisu in GOM... | ||

Up My Post count Actually, the bump is for the end of the year review on how the predictions came out. And it looks like it turned out pretty well. Zero was did the best of the 10 zergs and increased his lifetime win rate 10% over the course of 2009. Discounting Nony (due to bias) Movie turned out pretty well, and the other new Protoss blood isn't in the poll. Terran is not nearly as good as it looked because Skyhight was in Gom Season 2's semis and had qualified for MST at the time, if anything I would call him a disappointment. I can't think of any exceptional new terran this year though, the closest would be Fantasy but he had just lost to Stork in the Incruit OSL. | ||

Then I scrolled down and saw the "old post." GG me. Anyhow, yeah, this poll was actually rather accurate, a bit surprising in the case of Movie since IMO he was an absolute nobody at that time (with the only match-up he performed remotely decently in being PvZ). Now Movie is probably the top up-and-coming Protoss, with Violet being the only other contender. SkyHigh was already looking strong around this time and Zero I'm pretty sure was actually in MSL at that time. As for the 7th dragon, that poll kind of flopped seeing as how Protoss players started crumbling again in 2009. But if there was one, maybe BackHo. A lot of people hate him for knocking out better players (like Bisu, Jaedong...) and then losing to garbage, but he made it pretty deep into leagues a few times in recent memory. By contrast, I recall Much as already starting to slump. | ||

You have to be shitting me, skyhigh may not be as monstrous now as he used to be, but he was fucking good. Don't tell me you don't remember his reverse all-kill on hwaseung in the winner's league. Even if all the players weren't stellar, it's hard to win just one game when your team is down 0-3 and you have to win 4 in a row with JAEDONG as your first opponent. The pressure must have been enormous. | ||

I'd say Fantasy has been more impressive this year, last month aside. 2 OSL silvers and a semi-final. 2-0 vs Jaedong in proleague finals>reverse all kill vs Oz imo. Oz without Jaedong is a joke so its basically 2 wins against JD vs 1 win against him. But he's #2 on the list for sure, too bad there arnt any other good up and coming terrans. | ||
