This is by far the most efficient and best way to watch live Starcraft games if you have a connection better than 1Mbps. Those below will tend to struggle with the stream as it is broadcasted at 512kbs.
You don't need to install any unnecessary programs, and I THINK this works on all platforms.
Best done using IE Tab or Internet Explorer.
1) Go to the following website.
2) You should end up to a page similar to this.
3) Go to the following window
Scroll until you see ONGAMENET or MBCGAME text. This should be the live game. Click on it to start the stream.
You should get a window with a small WMP video playing. Double click on the screen to go full screen.

So that's how you navigate the site. Pretty simple in retrospect.

Yeah I wonder this as well, would be sweet of you could put it in VLC but I've found no way of doing this.

Geez, that's awesome. But I did try that once and my internet struggled. I hate my internet.
Thanks anyway

I've had no problem using FireFox as well. I really hope the Daum player is fixed soon though, much better quality.
Thanks for the navigation tutorial, GTR. Maybe this will help reduce the number of live stream requests.

awesome. it works in firefox but in IE if you do control + scroll up the player becomes bigger
|
For me, the sound works but I get no image, neither with IE nor Firefox. Does anyone know why/how to fix it?
|
nothing more I can say besides thanks
|
I remember some people on IRC said they got "(no video)" when running Firefox. If that's the problem, just install WMP plugin from here: http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx
For some people it gets stuck at "Ready" and it never buffers. If you have that, just keep refreshing. I do believe there are a limited number of slots to save bandwidth, so try connecting 5-10 minutes before the broadcast so you don't get this problem.

This is awesome, thanks! Should be a featured thread.

Watching MSL Live right now using this.
Quality isn't as good as daum, but because of this the stream doesn't lag like normal daum streams do.
Thus works as a great alternative if your daum stream is lagging. Thanks

Wow super nice! Using Google Chrome and so far working just fine. Really awesome
|
But what's up with after a while I get som random Korean message I can't read but when I click OK to get rid of it it redirects to some login screen?
|
Thanks but this is super laggy for me. Sometimes ill get a couple mins of uninterrupted sound but the picture only refreshes once every 30 secs or so. Seems strange that its working fine for other people, anyone got any ideas as to why its not for me? Thanks
|
thanks man this is AWESOME
|
Sweet! This is way better than using daumplayer! Thanks alot!

doesn't fucking work
(yes, i tried pressing play.)
|
hhmm i have cable but i guess its really laggy..

If there is no live feed, do the older ones stream or DL or what (can you even watch them)?
|
I have the same problem as QET, but I was wondering do they only broadcast live games when they are being played or do they just broadcast previous games when there are no games being played? Maybe that is why i couldn't watch it because there isn't a game playing? If somebody could answer that would be great.
|
I believe it only does anything while the games are going on.
|
i love daum
me -> <- daum

it only broadcasts while the games are going on live. it is a live feed so once the cameras stop rolling, that it - wait for vod.

Did anyone ever figure out what causes it to prompt you to register? It used to do it every 5 seconds, every time I used it, but then last week I tried it and it didn't ask until I accidentally typed with that window open instead of TL. Is it a certain browser? Is it alt tabbing? Is it typing? Is it making it full-screen? Or is it something else, or just randomly happens?
If anyone else has any insight on when it happens to them, let us know. It's a much better stream than yaoyuan when it's working, but a sudden prompt to register in a tense spot of a game really makes it not worth it if you can't avoid it.

I have this problem too =( Anything to be done for it? Once i refresh a bunch and find a good stream it will keep after a minute or so going to 1 frame per 10 seconds...
