Perhaps Artosis should talk with Daniel about the fact that he agrees to much with him, and decide they want to develop some kind of Siskel & Ebert dynamic where both will adopt diametrically opposed inane positions simply for the sake of discourse and ratings. Artosis could also take a page from the gymnastics caster trio of Tim Daggett, Elfi Schlegel, and Al Trautwig. Tim and Elfi are past pros, while Al plays the outsider depending on Tim's and Elfi's often flawed commentary for guidance, while dealing with the personal stories of the gymnasts lives. Hell, seems people can't appreciate a good thing, and prefer to listen to a sexy voice, totally biased, and inaccurate commentary, like we already have in droves on some websites.

edit: one thing that i thought, and i'm sure that this has occurred to you and daniel lee as well, artosis, is this: if you two have already watched the game or replay before making this vod, for the sake of viewer interest, maybe you should consider only commentating on and providing the games that are good or close. i know that means you and daniel lee will probably have to sift through a lot more games, and that getting pros to take time off their schedules to play isn't easy, but i'd really love to see daniel lee comment on a foreigner's play in a close game, rather than listen to his, admittedly good-natured, sarcasm about the level of play. i'll still keep watching even if every vod is a 10-minute rape, but, like everyone, i'm hoping for a great game.

I think some of this is a bit unavoidable given the fact that Daniel Lee just knows more and has a very strong personality. Despite this I often wonder why some people prefer to hear two people argue and disagree over rubbish rather than agree. Every show you watch you have people disagreeing over some contrived rubbish. It's like the producers know people like conflict and tell the commentators to create some kind of "The View" like dynamic simply because it's in vogue. The commentary is very good all around tbh, and Daniel Lee gives awesome insights into the South Korean scene.

For me, personally, it's not the fact that he agrees. It's the fact he always says something needless like "I gotta agree with you there" or "Yeah, you're absolutely right about that". And I don't think it's a big enough thing to drag the commentary down.

I like a commentator that can make me laugh as well as enhance the viewing of the game. His technical knowledge is very high though, and I enjoy listening. I think it's better for every commentator to have its own role and style. By the way I'd rather prefer a commentator that focuses all the time on the strategy and the players than one who jokes too much. I'm not too much of a fan of jokes though, and when I'm watching Starcraft I just like to focus on the indepth of the game rather than hearing a semi-fun almost obvious joke on the units.

I'm watching these vods to see if I can pick up tips and tricks from Artosis and Daniel Lee first and entertainment second.
