Nada when he is in shape is like the best sc player in the world. He accomplished so much and seeing his execution is so awesome. His macro during his game vs Up on arkanoid still makes surprises me.

Hate to kill this but this letter NaDa wrote was a couple years ago after he slumped terribly after his father's death iirc. He got out of that slump back at the end of 2006 but dropped off the map again after Shinhan Masters.

I think it's awesome to see him amp his game up... yet again. NaDa I think is a very up and down player. Sometimes you see him freaking own and dominate for an extended period of time. Then you see him slump like no other for an extended period of time.

What's so cool with NaDa is that hes been in the domination zone at so many points in the starcraft history. His MSL run topped by the Panasonic OSL victory in 2003(Not to mention his KT-KTF#1 victory), then the IOPS OSL, YATGK MSL final, and KT-KTF#2 domination until the semifinals in 2005, and now most recently back to back OSL finalist and the Shinhan Masters in 2007.

And it's not like he was lucky getting only a certain matchup(well in IOPS he only faced Zergs+Oov, but thats an exception). When I first saw him in 2003 I was most impressed by his TvP. In 2005 his SKTerran was revolutionary most notably on Luna, and his TvZ seemed to only get competition from July and GoRush(who btw were as good as they've ever been at that time). Even in his offperiod at the end of that year he played one of the most impressive games Ive seen against July on R-Point playing pure SKTerran. Then finally he removed any doubts about his TvT by raping good Terran players back and forth in Shinhan2&3 OSLs. His rivalries with players such as ChoJJa, GoRush and most recently Savior(if you can call it a rivalry) have all been distinctive as those rivals were never again able to reach the same impressive state(note that Savior isnt invincble any longer). I do regard his rivalry with GoRush as one of the best, and the series they played against each other had everything: incredible display of skills, atmosphere, style, tricks but most importantly drama.

I don't think we can call NaDa back quite yet. He has been playing pretty well lately, but he keeps barely getting knocked out of the early stages of the starleagues. Of course, he just beat his MSL Survivor group, but we'll have to wait and see how he does in the actual MSL. He got out of the Ro32 (or something like that) in both leagues last season, for instance.

I dunno.. I guess I just don't want to get my hopes up too much, is the thing. I love NaDa because he's got a great playing spirit... whoever said his play is boring apparently hasn't watched any of his games, because he's always trying cool stuff and has the balls to do stuff like run through swarm into an enemy base. But he keeps letting me down...
He has won some good games lately, but he hasn't been owning them in his old style. They've been just good, standard wins, not really "back" NaDa wins.

I probably sound pessimistic, but I am hopeful. He stands a good chance in the next MSL..
