By streaming on trovo I'm trying to get to their 500 program, where I get paid monthly, if I get a certain amount of watch hours a month. I will appreciate it if you will watch all the streams as much and as long as you can! Please share this info to everyone and follow BSL on Trovo.

All the matches are being played live so it's a problem. Let's say Mihu is winning all the time and facing 6 players all from different regions, all with different latency - it's impossible to test latency enough times to invite Chinese players for now (6x3,6x2,6x1 times each week) + run BSL ProLeague for me.
I do plan other events which involve Chinesee players from the beginning though.

If you check carefully, which players do not have a flag and have the current world news context in mind, you might get the reason some flags are missing

so we should remove germany flag for WW2 ? -_o
lol..
If this was 1939 and some German players said they did not want to represent Germany, then yes, absolutely.

did rus players said that they didnt want to represent their country -_o ? They were asked that?
They weren't asked, but Dewalt himself specifically stated that he did not want to represent Russia in BSL. Gory has said that he's too busy to play right now.

We certainly shouldn’t let them compete under a swastika flag. The Germany they’re representing has changed a bit since WW2. The current Russian flag represents Russia today.

But the decision to remove all russian flags is connected to this event. Or where do you think people should discuss that decision? Of course if gorynich shared a similar sentiment to Dewalt then you can disregard these comments. But I think it is fair to ask. (I'm also curious.)

I would normally agree, but I just don't see that discussion being productive at all. What would be the end goal of that discussion that's related to this event?

I think the goal of the discussion is quite clear: is there no russian flag for g0rynich because he stated something similar like Dewalt did publicly or is it Zzzero's decision based on this post: https://tl.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=27915195 ? Of course based on the post the likeliness of the latter is quite high (maybe both apply in this case also). But it would be still nice to know, so I get where mjolnir is "coming from".
feels like ur saying putin is russia and he represents the spirit of the people, and flag. seems wrong to me, they still deserve their flag, i dont think russians was able to vote if they wanted a war. just my opinion

They can always vote by protesting and revolting. This has been the case many times in history.

Putin is a crazy guy, his propaganda and police army in Russia is too big for guys like me to go outside and screaming "Stop war", because tomorrow i will probably be in jail. But i'm planning to do it anyway in future days. Everything is going on in Ukraine right now is terrible, and i never cried in my life as much as i did last few days. I feel so sorry and so frustrated for people who feel all the horrors of war right now, but i can't really do anything with that. So i really hope everyone who seeing this messege will understand my position in terms of what's happening.
Now you can ban me or any other russian players from BSL and i wont even be angry because of that but you should understand that we are just regular people without big money or audience to really change anything right now. All i khow right now, i don't wan't to represent Russia as a country in future BSL events if it's possible.
That was Dewalt's post on the topic and it should directly answer your comment on protesting.
To further add, I've personally disagreed with almost every single war, coup, assassination, bombing, etc. that the United States has conducted in my lifetime. I have protested, I've ran for office, and I've voted, yet it continues to this day. Blaming and condemning all Russians for the acts of their government is wrong, just as it'd be wrong to blame and condemn all Americans for the atrocities we commit around the world. That shouldn't be a controversial stance or hot take. It should be a "DUH, thanks Captain Obvious" take. Our community is too small to be punishing players whom are in countries that are doing things they have no control over. Hell, even if our community was huge, we shouldn't be punishing them.
Anyways, back to the event. It should be a fun! I hope everyone has a good time with it. GL everyone~

Thanks reposting Dewalt's comments. Completely off topic, but where in the US did you run for office? Come to North Florida and I'll help you run!

If you would have read the thread where Dewalt posted, I agreed that the common russian civilian is kind of a victim of this war as well and they should not be punished. I have just explained to WhistleR why the russian flags are missing. Nothing more to this
Will there be a cast in Spanish for this event, or only in English? Thank you Zzzero for all your effort in keeping the scene alive with these great tournaments.

But nice Whataboutism you got there bro :D
sorry if i hurt ur feelings bro
just saying that lot of shit happen during this years and the people is not to blame. The example i made is to point out how ridiculous it seems to remove a flag over a conflict chosen by the interest of a few.
As far as i know the flag is to state ur country of origin but if u choose not to show it for personal reasons its ok.
P.S. i just read the conversation above. IMO we should not delve into politics and let people use their flag. 140mln ppl are not responsible for the actions of their government and somehow you decide it's okay to ban the flag. Not cool.
I understand that the people are not responsible, that's why I didn't ban anyone from russia and also I'm not doing any announcements or posts about this matter, cuz I believe it's not worthy to talk about it - I've made only one comment in tl.net after dewalt answer, however I've been talking with few russian players privately, with some of them for a long time, and I know their point of view on this matter.
I think focusing on the event is a better thing to do, because as you can see, Dewalt is participating from day 1.
I just hate the way the world is splitting over someone else's interests. We are all gamers and we've gathered to enjoy the game that we love. This approach does not help anyone.
A better approach would be for the Russian players (if they agree to) to acknowledge their stance against the war and wave their flag as a symbol against the tyranny of their government. People should not be ashamed of their legacy because of a crazy leader.
however - great event! I can't wait to see more and watch the recording from yesterday because I was not online..
