is there no way around the Korean military service? No. Unless you accomplish something like getting a gold medal at the olympics or reaching the semi finals of the Fifa world cup like in 2002. Or you live as a korean outside of Korea for a long time and try to change your nationality  | ||

More than 10 years ago there was an American-Korean Popstar who was very successful and lived there for years during his career. Then he had to go to the military and therefore went back to the States. I think he is not longer allowed to go to Korea anymore | ||
