 Jaedong vs EffOrt+ Show Spoiler [VOD] + + Show Spoiler + well.. just reading jaedong vs effort is enough.. i dare say this was the best muta micro ever in a ZZ match (at least from the ones i saw  )+ Show Spoiler +imo, effort lost the moment he tried to evade the scourges, taking extra hits from jaedong's mutas in the process... jaedong's mutas had speed upgrade lol | ||

Effort is probably number two in ZvZ right now, but you still have to give jaedong the advantage. Add to that the build advantage (JD overpool vs Effort 9 pool) and the scout advantage (JD ovie in the right direction, spotted lings, etc) and Effort would have had to have pulled a miracle to win. Effort would have needed to get something done with his early lings, which he didn't. He got the contain, but there's no time in ZvZ to make it worthwhile - not when you've 9-pooled. It means your mutas are a few seconds behind, which means your contain evaporates before you can reinforce it. He had time to get his nat up, but there's no time to get it running and it's impossible to hold vs JD when it's muta vs muta and yours are late. In short, I dunno... didn't seem that spectacular a game. Nothing really new or unexpected happened. JD's muta micro is flawless, as usual.... but we sort of come to expect it, don't we? You could watch 20 other JD ZvZs and see the same ridiculous control. Strategically nothing really noteworthy seemed to have happened, imo | ||

It also felt like effort gave up too early in their first muta battle...he should have realized that Jaedong got the adrenaline glands for the mutalisks... | ||

Scouting when both players for some type of 9 pool is unnecessary since it is lair first. Also overpool gives only one extra drone. While Jaedong had the advantage, it wasn't anywhere near impossible for Effort to win, his one drone snipe but good, but too late. If he had gotten 1~2 more, it would've been an even playing field, or at least killed that ovie in the field; no reinforcements for Jaedong | ||
