Manifesto7 has created the Ultimate 신한 2 OSL Guide here:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=38685
This thread is now defunct.
The new OSL has an old or new sponsor however you want to look at it. 신한 has decided to sponsor the next three OSL's (rest of 2006 and the OSL that starts in winter) for OGN. They must have liked the attention they received after the latest OSL. Not only are they sponsoring three OSL's but they are also creating a Master's tournament for the best players of the three past OSL's with a FAT money prize. Like miNi said, there may be confusion in naming the OSL's since they pretty much will have all the same names. Here's the original thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?currentpage=1&topic_id=38554
Here's how ODT and OSL work now:
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=37598
But I'll summarize it for you guys anyways. Previous OSL's had 16 players. They would play a round robin in groups of 4. Best two players advance to quarterfinals. Winners of that to semis, then to finals. Now we have 24 players in the OSL:
New OSL Format:
Firstly you will see the 24강 or round of 24. They do exactly what the group of 16 did in the other OSL's. They play round robins in groups of 4. So that means 6 groups of 4. Top two of each group advance (12 players).
Secondly the 3rd place of each group (6 players) will have to do a so called "Wild Card Match" with only 3 players advancing and the 3 players who lost will have to play each other and the top player advances from that group. So we have 4 players accompanying the 12 players.
Thirdly, now that we have a group of 16 we have a best of 3. 8 winners advance. To quarterfinals that are also best of 3 with 4 winners advacing.
Lastly, we have semifinals and finals which are best of 5. I'm assuming the 4 losers from the quarterfinals will do some sort of round robin or tournament to determine the 5th and 6th place. Needed for seeding in the next OSL.
ODT Format:
Since there are no more seeds left for ODT R1 winners. There is no more ODT R1. So if any of you actually started getting used to the ODT 2 round system like I did. It was all a waste cause now there's just a giant ODT with 9 groups of 4. 18 players get spots in the next OSL.

Thoughts:
I'm officially done with this thread I think. But a little group drawing two cents: iloveoov starts off with a Terran, Cloud. July picks his Zerg rival(?), the 운영 magician, GoRush. BoxeR got selected by PuSan, maybe PuSan wants a little rematch from So1. BoxeR gets lucky and got two Zergs in his group, Shinhwa picking another Zerg, cause I think the rules stipulate only one Protoss per group? I'm not sure. Otherwise it would just be stupid picking another Terran if you're a Zerg. I'm surprised GooDFriend chose a Protoss. Poor Nal_rA has two Zergs in his group. And you can't help but laugh at Yellow. That OSL title is even further from his reach when he has two up and coming Terrans in his group. Too bad Shield picked up GooDFriend before Midas could.
