Hey all, after seeing the replay packs zimp released of ex-pro/semi-pro players, I felt like it would be a good idea to watch a select few games every few days or so and provide insight and analysis on the spot, much like what Artosis does with his SC2 hour.
With that in mind, please do note I am not a top player nor a great commentator, I am just an avid Brood War spectator who has watched pretty much every pro game since 2007. The analysis won't be anything spectacular like a Day[9] Daily or an Artosis Hour, but it will be better than what you can find off the street.
Anyway, here is a tentative schedule. I will try and plan my show around times I don't have classes at school. These times may change without notice.

Thank god more people are doing english commentary. I went without proleague for so long until sayle came back, I appreciate people who can watch the korean commentators but I really enjoy the english guys providing more content lately. Look forward to this :3
Is this going to be super complicated? I'd love to tune in but I don't really know that much about BW. I know all the units and stuff, but I don't really know much else.
This seems really cool. I really like watching English BW when I'm in bed. It'll be nice to have a more enlightened perspective (not to imply that I don't enjoy the stuff that people are currently doing!). I'll definitely watch the VODs. Good luck!
I admittedly haven't watched much professional BW apart from some bonjwa games (I'm a SC2 guy who dicked around with BW money maps with friends off and on ~2002-2005), but I've been trying to fit some in during my spare time lately. As soon as I saw this thread, especially with how much I'm enjoying the Artosis Hour, I knew I had to give it a look-see.
This is awesome, you are awesome. I learned a lot about what to be looking for in ZvP just through watching the very first replay with your analysis. Hopefully it's just as informative to those of us watching who actually know wtf they're doing and actively play.
Is there a way to add the option to change the stream quality? For some reason I had some lag issues yesterday & today on your stream, and I would like to lower the quality.
If you want to take an anlytical approach, consider the stuff I list below. if you want to avoid analysis and specifics, ignore it.
Topic: ZvT: Specifics on how to engage a mnm tank + vessel army once defilers are out. Different approaches, the significance of angles, hotkeys, how to optimize your build to put you in the best situation once said moment arises (how to spend gas, where to make cuts, how to safely speed up hive tech), and unit ratios.
PvZ: If you were opening with neo-bisu build (+1 sair +1 speedlot push), how do you decide which base to hit and how to attack said base (angles, cues telling you weakness in the opponents sim city), and exactly what you should be doing with your corsair during the whole ordeal.
I would recommend taking several replays that showcase the specific topic, and dig deep into how the player made their decisions regarding said topic, and analyze the pros and cons.
This is great, particularly for a first episode. I don't have any issues, but I'm sure you will get more comfortable and have a better image of how you want it to go as time goes by. Thanks a lot.
Also, your voice gives me ASMR. No other commentator has done that yet. It's a joy to listen.
I've a silly suggestion: whenever a player spawns as brown on dirty/ash world tilesets shift-tab twice to change their colors to make it a little bit easier to follow the minimap action.
few suggestions - you should always show the battles. it happened a few times that there was action going on and you were talking about gateways n such. i was tearing my hair out. i understand that thats important too, but try to show that when theres no other action or pause the game. - don't click around like a mad man. also fastest scroll speed is not required for obsing. apm doesn't matter. rather try to focus on what to show and tell in order to give an in-depth analysis. - you wrote you will be doing pvt stlye comparison, but i didn't really notice such thing. you just commentated the two games. don't get me wrong, its can also be fine if you show games that you haven't seen before, but because of the hype, i thought you already watched these and knew what to point out. i don't really get what you want to do here. just commentate matches for fun? or give deep analysis? both?
This is a fantastic idea! I have been trying to get into BW but compared to Sc2 it is so hard to find in-depth game-analysis so it is hard for me to understand all the things that are going on. I hope this will help me understand the game better.
