RIP MBCGame. I wish I could have had the chance to have known and experience it better than the scant year and a half I knew it. An amazing piece from the TL writers, I can't go to sleep again now because of it.

I always feel a bit like an intruder posting in these threads, because I discovered BW after getting interested in SC2, but I wanted to say "thank you" to the authors of this post, especially for the list of VODs. I've already watched one, and I'll be going through the others in the coming days. I feel very regretful that I missed out on the BW pro scene in its hayday, and I'm really grateful to the TL veterans who help me to understand the history of the game.

This article is too much to take in at once. I'm very new compared to the veterans of this site. I'm less experienced than Flamewheel and ignorant beyond belief. Still, one of my fondest memories is all the hype leading to that fateful Power Outage MSL. First time I watched it together with someone, screaming at the top of my lungs early in the morning, and then painfully watching everything come to a slow and painful end that ironically noone really expected that soon. I still become incredibly emotional watching some MSL finals that were before my time, especially the Avalon MSL most people hate. I stayed away from this article for many reasons, while I saw it from the sidebar, I couldn't bring myself to write anything for it, and while I still think it was for the better, I feel even more guilty now.
I'll miss you MBC. I thought I was over you, but the tears are proof of something else. I'll always remember you fondly.

Remember the agonizing nights trying to get yaoyan to work so you could watch that PvZ on Athena?

Remember ... remember ...

Fuck this is sad. BW was so much a labor of love, just the lengths we had to go through to follow it as closely as many of us did. Now we're all so spoiled, I'm so spoiled, I watch BW intermittently but when I do it isn't the same. I have a livestream every night I can watch with no problem at all. I don't have to worry if we'll find a reliable source for the night's hyped match.

And SC2 has these amazing productions where it is a travesty if there isn't HD provided.

I dk not knocking on SC2 at all, its just everyone who is enjoying this stuff now - you are all so incredibly lucky to have this easily accessible, highly competitive, thriving scene. I'm lucky to be enjoying it now. It was built upon this legacy that MBCGame helped build. And now MBCGame is dead and you could look to other sites and not even know it. Fucking tragic.
