Pretty sure this finals is gonna be amazing. I like Zero too, but Great had some interesting plays this series, and I don't mind seeing more of what he has to offer for a final.
I think essentially what Great is looking for is the point at which neither player wants to engage, and both have reached a certain mass of muta. Then comes the Hive switch. So of course it starts off as a normal ZvZ, but at least it doesn't end in one big 'I hope my muta's attack first' battle to end the game.

it appears to me that great isn't necessarily a godly player but he approaches the game with a very unique and mature attitude and it seems like he also practices a ton. I hope hydra wins and we have a very interesting finals match.

One thing's for sure, Great's got style. But now he'll be up against either Jaedong or Hydra, the zvz tyrant and the incarnation of Effort/(insert matchfixer here) respectively. A whole 'nother level than Zero, when it's about zvz.

I heard all these talk about hive tech, but do you need to go to hive tech? or can you just get queen nest, upgrade ensnare to ensnare the clump of mutalisk then send in your scourge? It should be very hard to fight back the scourge when the muta got ensnared. You don't have to waste much gas upgrading hive and getting difiler. Not sure if this will work, it's just a thought.

are you forgetting that standard ZvZ involved a lot of zergling and they kill Hydra under swarm. If you're making Hydra, then your army isn't as mobile compare to your opponents thus they can harass you easily as you move out and still have time to return and defend the base.
