edit: yay new icons for translators! One starleague win over a guy who can't PvZ to save his life isn't even close to being S class. Lux couldn't take a game off Bisu, Flash, or JD at the time (Except for when he 5 pools Bisu on Troy). You can't consider that S class at all. Hell, even Calm won a Starleague. You can't be S class if you can't take a game off the real S class.

But yeah, the guy got a very favorable draw in Lost Saga against Hwasin (probably the toughest), Zero (Couldn't ZvZ to save his life), and Jangbi.
Lux was always pretty good at ZvZ (Probably 2nd best behind JD at the time), and always had decent ZvT thanks to 2 hatch mutas and some sick muta control. His ZvP was always questionable though, but good enough to beat Jangbi.
But to the guy above, nah, July doesn't count. He was on POS (Piece of Shit/Pirates of Space whatever you wanna call it), which eventually turned to MBCGame Hero.

Idra from eSTRO to CJ?
He's no less S-class than some of the names mentioned...

You mean July to SKT?
July was raised in MBC you know. And no, when he transferred to SKT and later to STX, he was no longer at the top, except his ZvP.
Bisu is the biggest sale. He was expensive and it paid off.
ForGG and Luxury to KT also deserve mentions. Both were at their peak, playing like S-class candidates, and then slumped into mediocre after being purchased.
According to TLPD, Nada was on KT before moving to WeMade. He is known for his consistency. I wonder if his transfer counted.

Well first off, if you can't beat Best at ZvP, then you clearly have some issues. Also, inconsistency doesn't make you S class overall. Every player can show flashes of brilliance. Like someone mentioned above, even Hyuk looked good against JD a couple of times.

Didn't Lux beat Leta and Flash on that run too? Leta I'm sure about, Flash nsm.

Well the new FA is coming up for Leta and Hyuk... so that's two potentially S-class players.....

July was the best player to be traded. (only golden mouse) He even won the golden mouse after joining STX I believe his trades were MBC—>SKT—>STX

Jaedong almost left last year due to his parents wanting him to move to a better team, but he stayed put cause all his best friends are on the team, etc.
Leta moving would be the biggest FA move since Bisu to SKT1.

His third OSL run was probably one of the easiest, thanks to him meeting up with Backho and Best (PvZ duncebuckets).

Luxury defeated Leta with a 4 pool and tricky play if I remember correctly. Leta was hailed as the son of the god at the time. A tournament favorite. I really doubt Luxury's ability to defeat Leta straight up.
Don't forget that July met Rock, along with Backho and Best in his final OSL run. It's criminally negligent to dismiss Rock's contributions to other people's careers.

Would you consider forGG or Calm to be S-class for winning a starleague? How about someone like Sea or Leta who consistently perform well in Proleague but had no success in individual leagues?
There are a lot of reasonable criteria we could come up with, like some recent success in individual leagues, good performance in the proleague, no really weak matchups, not in a horrible slump at the moment, etc. But if you try to apply all of these you're left with Flash, Jaedong and maybe Fantasy, Effort or Stork.
