MSL Semi-Final #2 Winner (Z)Jaedong:
"I will play a game I won't regret in the finals"

- How do you feel about making it to the finals?
▲ I think it's been a while since I made it to the finals of the MSL. I'm very happy but I think I need to win to become even more happy. Rather than celebrating now, since I'm so close to winning the MSL, I will try hard to seize this opportunity. I lost in the Arena MSL finals 0-3 so I want to win today and further heighten my career.

- The match was one-sided.
▲ I think the games went well. There were a lot of tense moments but I was able to overcome them well. I think I can rank my game play pretty high. I'm satisfied because I think I showed that my ZvP has evolved a lot from the past. If I can keep this sense, I think I can show even better ZvP in the future.

- You set a new record for vP winning streak
▲ When I won game 2, I thought if I just won one more I could create a record that other players can't catch up to. I think I can someday break Flash's record as well if I don't let my guard down and try my best.

- People said that the maps were biased towards Protoss
▲ People around me said that the maps were designed to kill Zerg players. I thought it was overall playable for Zerg. I was confident because I had a good winning percentage during practice, but since so many people said the maps were impossible for Zerg player to win, it got on my mind.

- Which game was the most memorable today?
▲ The 3rd set. Even I think I played well (laughs). I could have ended the game but (P)Kal blocked so well so I almost lost my pace, but I was able to get through it and play a good game. I like playing flexible like that.

- Your team won in Proleague without you.
▲ I am very happy. I saw the games and I thought (T)HiyA played so well. I congratulated him and now since Winner's League is coming, I hope he continues to do well.

- Lee-Ssang-Rok has been decided for the finals ((T)Flash vs Jaedong).
▲ I really want to win. I have to get my revenge, so I will play this match with a stronger resolution. Apart from that, I want to thank everyone for giving so much attention to the Lee-Ssang-Rok match. I will repay everyone with a good game. Since so many people are looking forward to it, I don't want to play a game that I will regret.

- How will you prepare for the finals?
▲ I normally practice with my teammates, and I think I'll do that again. I practiced for today's match with Hwaseung Protoss players. [no wonder they always look so inconfident, they get owned by JD 24/7 during practice.] I believe in my teammates. I don't think it will be a problem becuase they help me out a lot during practice.

- It is known that you practice with Flash a lot.
▲ Not that often because it's hard to practice unless we have the right matchup coming up on the same map. We know each others' style very well because we meet so often in the matches. Since we know so much about each other, I'll play with an empty heart.

- Don't you want to win the MSL with no losses?
▲ It's a very powerful record but I'm not too interested. It is not good to focus on winning every set in a Best of X matches. It would be nice if I could, but I won't be disappointed even if I don't.

- Determination for the finals
▲ I think I did pretty well this season like I did last season. I need to finish off well in the finals. If I win in the finals, I think the momentum will carry into the Winner's League, so I there is a lot at stake. I will prepare with a strong determination and definitely win.

- Anything else you want to say
▲ I think I won thanks to the Protoss players on my team. Especially (P)Spear helped me a lot. I bothered him a lot to help me practice and I'm thankful that he tried his best to help me practice. I also want to thank (P)Pure and (P)free. I've always went to the Proleague Stadium since my debut, but I'm thankful that my team let me focus on the Semifinals. I will return the favor with a victory. Lastly, I have a ZvT in the finals, and HiyA always asks for something if I ask him to help me practice. I don't know what he wants, but I will buy a lot of food for him and listen to whatever he has to say, so I hope he helps me practice (laughs). If I win, the whole team will benefit, so I hope he practices hard with me.

Well we always hear about how much better people do in practice, so maybe practicing with Oz teammates isn't so bad.

MSL maps were difficult for Zergs, especially TvZ (Ultimatum comes to mind, with Match Point and Odd Eye not being far behind). Luckily for zergs, there's only one terran who's not mediocre nowadays.

raga4ka:
Matchpoint favors Protoss and Terran vs Zerg, whatever it is called[Fighting Spirit] is pretty even in all matchups so Zergs cannot be too happy and Ultimatum has a wide ramp that is hard to defend with only 2 lurkers

He did show flexibility that he sometimes lacks in the 3rd set, I got worried he was going to try to break that natural.

I thought his muta micro was unusually bad last night though.

Fomos says its 16

16 — in selected statistics (so called "regular season games", i.e. Starleague-MSL-Proleague).
14 — in complete statistics, since victory in set 3 vs Stork in the WCG GF.

Ignore the guy. Each time he posts it is about the streaks, and each time he claims that Fomos is wrong and he is right. Obviously Koreans don't know what they are talking about. He KNOWS though.

He's supporting TLPD.

Damn. Jaedong is pumped with confidence despite being kicked out of the OSL 0-2.

I think that the MSL final will be way more than the one sided Flash rape that some people are predicting. Jaedong must have gotten pretty good win ratio in practice against Flash to be that confident.

I dunno about practicing with Oz Terrans...KT Zergs seem to be stronger than Oz Terrans to me.

Notice that he didn't mention practicing with Lomo, his "best friend", but focused on Hiya instead.

This will be a good final. I'll be sure to watch it live.

Thank you for the translation! BTW, was there anything interesting from the Oz winner interview? Hiya winning twice is pretty rare, Killer winning pretty rare too.

I'm not sure about it. I remember when he was discussing Flash streaks and noone could really understand where does he get his information. He definitely wasn't counting all the games that TL counts to elo. For example he counts WCG, but not GOM as far as I remember.

I assume it's a saying similar to playing with a clear head? Emotionless.

lol Jaedong raped one of the most consistent Ps out there by only practicing with BackHo and co.

Dude don't ever give him Stork's contact because that's an end to Aiur.

I hope some baller terrans from other teams step up to help JD practice well for the sake of an epic msl finals. Hiya is by no means a bad player and hes very solid but it always helps to change things up a bit. Im hoping someone like leta or sea steps up to help.

makes me wonder if all progamers are around the same level in practice games or is jaedong just using backho as some kind of punching bag to feel good about...

And we should exclude losses that don't REALLY count if you think about it.... Just like with flash's 22 TvT streak.

Oh, maybe he's crazy for other things but this time it's TLPD.

Also, practice partners from previous results mean shit. Practicing against better people isn't gonna make yourself better if you're the second best player already. It's like tennis; top ranked players don't hit with each other, just someone competent. It's the same thing I believe with SC practice. You do it to know how to respond in certain situations, or prepare all the reactions of a certain BO. You don't really need someone good to practice with. Kinda like Bisu's PvZ, or Free's PvT, and in this case Jaedong's ZvP.

However, having a good mentor is helpful, as with July, Savior, Kingdom, and SK Terrans.

I didn't realize that Jaedong hadn't lost a game in MSL. This means that Jaedong's only losses in both individual leagues will come from Flash, lol

Maybe the other time Jaedong wasn't ready for the Ultimate weapon.
This is the final, he will practice more. Fight with empty heart. Good game!

I can't wait!! 1 more week to come!

This time I am a little bit confused who to support. Usually I will support Flash since he is terran player. But after Jaedong loses to flash 0-2 the other time and seeing how hyped and ready he is for the finals, I just can't bear to see him lose again.

I guess somehow I wished both Jaedong and Flash win 1 gold each hahas. But another part of me want Flash to win both gold and become the undisputed champion.

Never mind, it's little bit confusing on who to support, but at least no matter who wins I won't feel that dissapointed .

I hope flash doesn't lose to movie today and then loses to Jaedong next week and went into a slump with 2 silvers. Nahhh hahas.

"For example he counts WCG, but not GOM as far as I remember." — Where was it?!? Check Jaedong’s Rivalries, please.
I use YCosu.Com DB as more complete source than TLPD.
