One thing that I will admit is that Bisu seems to be more susceptible to slump than Jaedong and Flash. Even during Flash's darkest of hours, he was still playing high level game. Jaedong never slumped. While Bisu did indeed slump after he lost to Mind and now again.

I'm sorry, but movie played his best mu most of the time to get into the final. Hes gonna get rolled over by flash whose tvp is light years ahead of light.

No Bisu, BackHo or JangBi? You don't know what are you rattling about.

P.S. Violet plays uber bad as of lately. He started with a high note i'll give you that.

And who did he beat to get there? The guy definitely deserves at least some recognition.

Violet has been doing debatably better in proleague than Bisu
(more ace matches, entirely undefeated in R1, etc.), and they've been knocked out of leagues by the same person. His losses to haksoo, pure, and that 1 other guy... are countered by Bisu's losses to haksoo, frozean, and that one other guy.
edit :
here, Violet's record after winner's league(which is when it's generally agreed he began to play at his current level) :
http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/details.php?type=players&id=539&part=games&vs=all&league=any&map=any&from_year=2009&from_month=3&from_day=30&to_year=2010&to_month=1&to_day=10&action=Update

34-13, 72.34% for something like 9 months now. Pretty comparable to Bisu's record during the same time period.

I'm not sure you can really call that comparable, given that 1) Violet played in no leagues past the prelims stage, while Bisu was in OSL semifinals, MSL Ro8, and won WCG Korea and 2) Violet played about half the games Bisu did.

Tch. Maybe thats what happens with winning the MSL.

yay! I was waiting for the Protoss inspirational thread, and although the beginning wasn't too descriptive or inclusive of a neatly detailed 'history lesson' of sorts, still nice to see the Protoss getting theirs!

I still don't think Violet is really on a similar stage as the Dragons or claiming as much success as some of the other up-n-coming Protoss (although theres really only Movie, and the other Dragons that are improving like Stork/Kal). I remember the days of Reach and Nal_rA in KTF, and they said that they tutored the new Protoss's to their own individual styles, like Reach for Violet and Nal_rA for Tempest etc. and I remember almost the 'passing of the torch' for them, when Reach squared off against Violet in a GOM league. Also, giving credit where its due, Violet did play an amazing series against a very tough/popularly successful opponent, Luxury in the GOM S3 RO16.. game 1 on Medusa was straight up incredible!

Movie was justly included, he has been on a hot-streak considering the success of Protoss of late, going from someone who very mediocrely acheived wins to a Protoss that's flown all the way to the finals, awaiting his opponent is something pretty spectacular, for Protoss. I was really shocked and pleased at the result of his series v Shine. Obviously I was rooting and supporting him and hoping that he'd win, but perhaps that the series would end up a bit closer, like 3-2 or something, 3-1, coming out with a 2-0 lead was nice.. I hope he plans and continues with his strategical execution and prepares something very well orchestrated for the ultimate weapon, Flash_KT. Again, I hope movie takes this title down, but even if he loses, and as long as its gg's and not a blow out, like 3-0 then i'll be happy for his results as a Protoss user. I think either way though, him making it to the finals, he's made a name for himself.

Stork and Kal, ya, they're both dragons of old so no reason to discredit them - its just varying results of success to raise one over the other and determines whos performing slightly better. I'm kinda dissapointed that Bisu wasn't included, as the main figure-head of the Protoss race. I know he's slumping as of late, dropping a game or two to some unexpected characters, but still, he's like the God of Protoss, success-wise and accomplishment wise. Breaking ELO records for Protoss, winning 3 titles back-to-back, being in like 4 finals in a row etc.. Bisu's done some incredible things for Protoss that they haven't seen in a long time. Even though he might be on a small slump, the same could have been said for Flash. I remember when Jaedong/Bisu/Flash were the absolute top of their respective races, and Flash started falling a bit, losing to some weird builds, all-ins, rushes or just dropping it for bad execution or his opponent out-doing him.. Now of course, presently, I think he's realized his claim to fame again and started performing excellently, and the same could be said for any top player, like Stork or Bisu.

but ya, I think reasonable representatives of Protoss would be:
Jangbi / Kal
Movie
Stork
Bisu
(in order from fostering success to more successful results into leadership wise [Stork,Bisu])

i really liked this thread! good job! ^^

also, there's a reason why bisu and other notable protosses aren't listed on this thread. It's because this thread shows protosses who are currently owning things up. Bisu and those other protsses haven't really been doing as well as these guys, so its not a matter of discrimination or hate.

I´m wondering what happened to Jangbi?! He was better than Stork in PvP, he was best in PvT and his PvZ was actually pretty darn good.

I can't believe people seriously argue about Bisu not being in that list and can't decide whether op trolls or it's just blind fanboysm and hate.

The zerg and terran threads are quite good, this is just trash

3 straight people complain about the lack of bisu

they all have SKT as their team logo

and I'm the one that gets called a fanboy somehow (note: if I did the zerg article, you could call my fanboyism, as shine would be in effort's spot)

what would you like me to write about? bisu's lack of matches against top players recently, or how he's still not quite on his A game? another bisu article would be boring, the developing talent is much more interesting.

I apologise for my last sentence, overreacted a bit there. If it's about developing talents then be it, in that case I would not include Kal though. He's been A-class player for long time, I'd say it's more hot streak than getting significantly better, the same could be said about Stork (the difference is he's S-class). Only Violet and Movie (btw I checked their last 20 games and they both have worse results than Bisu with not so much better opponents) should belong there according to this criteria, as well as Flying.
