31) Starleague collects entrance fees - During the 1.07 days OSL decides to collect money for the Boxer vs Giyom final. It was the first and last time that starleague was paid for.
32) Poor Sync - Most OSL winners are remembered throughout the ages but many people don't even know that Sync was a OSL winner too. Sync won the OSL during the summer of 2002, when Korea was hosting the World Cup and they miraculously made it to the semis. In addition, Boxer and Yellow and other big names were eliminated early in the Nate OSL so almost no one paid attention to it. Until today its considered the worst OSL ever.
33) Doggi's "3 Terran" - Doggi is famous for being a "3 Terran" This all started when Doggi won a game in which he had 3 CC's but only 3 factories. And in the next game he used a surprise 3 firebat strat to win. In addition he is in Samsung Khan (Samsung means three stars) and his progamer ranking was 33 at the time.
34) Boxer's Paradox - All of you have probably heard of the great Boxer vs BlueK game. During Mycube OSL, Boxer turns over a game that everyone thought was over. I won't go into details because all of you should now what happened. This game is still considered the best turnover game ever and is currently the #1 most viewed VOD.
35) ArtofTerran's migrating Terran - It was ArtofTerran vs some protoss where ArtofTerran had the game almost won. He had sieges and marines at the protoss's choke when the protoss does some last minute reaver shit and ArtofTerran over-reacts to this, lifting his CC and buildings and moving over to the protoss's nat. While his CC was drifting in air, the protoss player gathered units and broke through the siege line and won. This game was quite funny, and ArtofTerran earned the nickname "Dongjin Express"
36) ArtofTerran's SingHa Terran - In Korea, there is this very famous guy who imitates Bruce Lee. His name is SingHa and he is famous for being uncompromising and violent. During proleague, ArtofTerran faced off with JulyZerg, the #1 player at the time, and showed that he has the guts of SingHa. When July advanced with lurkers and swarms, instead of retreating ArtofTerran rushed his firebats into the swarm and killed the lurkers and eventually won. Commentators named him "TNT Terran" while fans said he truly showed the spirit of SingHa. And with SingHa toss Daezang, ArtofTerran became another SingHa player.
37) 2001 SKY OSL 1st game incident - It was Boxer vs Garimto in the SKY OSL finals. The map was Incubus and at the middle of the game, Boxer's dropship is roaming around an island that was next to Garimto's nat. People thought this weird because the dropship never did anything. Later it was found that the version of Incubus that Boxer received from OGN to practice on allowed a tank to be dropped on the spot. But the version of Incubus that was used in the finals didn't allow the drop. Boxer lost that game and eventually lost 2:3 to Garimto, making Garimto the first ever protoss user to win 2 OSL titles.
38) Tossgirl rapes Freemura - It was during the MBC Minorleague where Tossgirl faced off with Freemura. Everyone thought that a female progamer had no chance against a male progamer, but Tossgirl rapes Freemura so badly that Freemura retires after that game
39) Heaven throws his mouse - It was during the MBC Minor league prelims where Heaven played Julyzerg. Heaven lost the game clearly because he couldn't control his units and did some newbie shit. But later it was found that Heaven's mouse didn't match with the MBC game computer and he had to use a mouse he never used before. After the game Heaven was very frustrated and although he denys it, it looked like the threw his mouse. Anyways because of this incident many fans requested the MBCgame to give enough time for players to get their settings right.
40) Ssamzang abuses - Long time ago to go to the world BW finals, you had to have a high ranking ladder id on B.net. Ssamzang and his friends decide to create several accounts and cheat on the ladder system to qualify. This was proved later on and everyone talked shit about him but Ssamzang went on to win the title and raped everyone on his way and shut all the whiners up.

I remember all the talk about ssamjang (he played as LARRY-THE-WEIRD) in the blizzard ladder.
Also so many stupid rumors in the western bw communities after the Boxer/Garimto incubus incident. That game also has the best tank push ever and the best halting by a toss ever. Boxer must have pushed Garimto's 2nd expand for a continious 15 minutes.

21) Boxer's 3 consecutive bunkerings.
It was Boxer vs Yellow at the semis at Ever OSL. There was huge expectations of this legendary "Lim/Jin War" but the series ended in an instant at 3-0. Boxer ended all three games with an early cheese rush and numerous fans who expected the best games ever were severely disappointed and called Boxer "Cheesy Boxer." Some people defended him saying BW is a strategy game and you should do anything to win. Few months later Boxer tries bunkering to Yellow yet again but gets his ass kicked.
22) Reach's random incident.
Reach is one of the top 5 progamers who really really suck at playing random. It was during the all-star games when Boxer and Reach were forced to do random, and Boxer got zerg and Reach got protoss. Everyone thought Reach will rape Boxer but while Reach was doing some sexy reaver drop shit, Boxer stacked hydras and made Reach type out. Next game, Yellow gets random prad this protoss and Reach gets random Zerg. Yellow plays around with Reach like hes a public game newb and the commentators say "Reach don't ever play random again."
23) Xellos's DDR incident.
Ongamenet had this program where they visit progame teams. While they were visiting GO's house, they found a whiteboard that said "If Xellos restrains from DDR, he wins OSL~~" Now there are two meanings of DDR. The dancing game "Dance Dance Revolution," and masturbation "Ddal Ddal Re." Some said Xellos probably is a dance game addict, but everyone knew that Xellos probably jacks off every night instead of practicing. Additionaly GoRush wrote in his profile that he respects Xellos the most because his "night work." Anyways, after that Xellos was named DDR Terran.
24) Cyber money 1million incident.
On a famous Korean tv show (like Oprah Winfrey but not as famous) Boxer was invited to talk about gaming. Every BW fan thought they were going to talk about BW and progaming but instead these fuckers asked Boxer, "Do you have about 1 million cyber money?" "Do you really want to kill people in real life after PK?" Angry BW fans proved their power by hacking KBS's site (KBS is the biggest Korean station) and KBS later apologized.
25) Ongamenet's planned games?
It was the coca cola OSL first round of Group D. Lee Geun Taek vs Park Kyung Tae (They aren't famous so no akas). Lee was 1W 1L, Park was 2W. If Park wins he brings Lee with him so being the close friends they are, Park kinda lost on purpose. He did this fast nuclear strat which no one probable never thought about, and lost without doing anything. Fans protested and later OGN held this talk show with the two players and Park said "It wasn't an important game for me so I didn't practice much. I was eliminated anyways so I wanted to leave a big impact with a nuke."
26) Boxer's revenge nuke.
During WCG, Elky nuked Gundam and qualified for the finals. In an interview Boxer said that for Korean pride, he will do the same to Elky. During the finals Boxer really did nuke Elky and won the WCG for Korea.
27) Progaming abuser incident.
To qualify for the 2004 WCG Korea prelims, there was a online prelim in which everyone could participate. After the progamers were selected, fans started to wonder how certain players suddenly rose to the top, or how they played an impossible amount of games in one day. After some reasearch by hardcore fans, it was proved that some progamers abused their records(making multiple id's and loosing to one selected id) to qualify. Progamers said they had no other choice because everyone abuses, but nonetheless many people were disappointed in WCG and the professionality of progamers.
28) Boxer's ear hack incident.
It was Boxer vs H_love_Wii where Love had some stop lurkers and Boxer was about to pass them without knowing. Suddenly Boxer fans shout "AAAAAH!!!!!!!" and Boxer for no apparent reason turns back his troops. Fans later criticized him for being a ear hacker and Autumn, who is famous for Autumn and kids incident which we will later discuss, wrote in his homepage that Boxer is a fucking cheater. He later on apologized saying his comments were unappropriate and that these days ear hacking is a part of progaming.
29) Xellos's "Barra~~~~~~~~ck" incident.
It was Yooi vs Xellos where Yooi attempted center BBS. If Xellos didn't scout, he could have lost but luckily he did scout and won. But later on, some fans wrote on the internet that there was a guy who shouted "barra~~~ck" and told Xellos about the barracks. A Vod was provided and did prove that this actually happened. But no one knew if Xellos did hear that or not, and all the blame was on OGN for allowing this kind of thing to happen.
30) It was the first round last game of Gilette OSL, GoRush vs Silent_Control. For some reason the game was getting delayed, and while waiting Control suddenly faints. OGN people rush him to the hospital and later find out that he has pneumonia from lack of rest and nutrition. GoRush could have won as a forfeit game but he proposes a rematch and Control ends up winning and making it to the semis. This incident called attention to the health of progamers and how hard they actually were practicing.

Hey sharp is the old story about TheBoy being mad at Boxer for baing an asshole ingame anywhere in these? I remember hearing a rumor about Boxer playing TheBoy in some game-q match (I think) and Boxer was all cocky (that is many tank, yes?) and in the end TheBoy paused the game and told Boxer to shut up?

Arg everytime I hear of Sync I feel sorry for him, maybe if he'd won a different OSL, he might be up there with Boxer as another Terran master veteran.

Not all the way up there, but yea pretty close. Sync is like the most unlucky terran player ever. During NATE he was clearly the strongest player in the world, and he owned up other leagues as well. He soundly beat an in-shape ChRh to secure his spot in the finals.
Anyway, NATE is the weirdest osl ever. A lot of the old school players were kicking ass; HOT, ChRh, Junior, Eugene. ALL of these players have now vanished from the face of progaming.
