What have the players been up to lately?

Sea and Jaehoon are preparing for their individual league games with the help of some of the rookies. All players took turns returning to their homes for a break. Sang helped Shine practice for his OSL game. Hyun went back home for about a week. Practice is lighter and more self-regulated than usual. According to some HERO fans who went to Loox Center for the play-off matches, the practice room is quite empty on weekends. Sea has said that he takes the weekends off so perhaps this is the case with most of the players.

Last fan meeting of the season

A Japanese HERO fan went to the final match of the season and attended the fan meeting as well. She took the first three pictures. The other two were taken by a Korean MBC fan. Sea and Tyson weren't feeling particularly well that day.

Sea at the OSL Group Selection Ceremony

No in-depth reviews about this event were posted because the fans who attended all thought it was quite boring. Nonetheless they were happy to see their favourite players. Sea was dressed very smartly in a suit complete with vest.

OSL Poll: Which progamer do you want to go on a summer vacation with?

Dailyesports asked the 16 players who qualified for the OSL which progamer among the 16 they would most like to go on a summer vacation with. Sea came in in 1st place with 5 votes. Lee Ssang came in joint-second with 3 votes each. Jangbi, Hydra and Stork received 1 vote each while two progamers expressed that they do not want to go on a summer vacation with another guy.

Flash, Fantasy, Stork, Hydra and Killer all chose Sea, stating without hesitation that “I think if I went on vacation with Yeom Bo Sung, I’d never be bored”...

Fantasy: “I think if I travel around Asia with Sea hyung, he’d be able to get along with the local people.”

Killer also said: “lately it’s common to go to Thailand or Southeast Asia for vacation. If I go with Sea hyung, we’d have no problems adapting to the local conditions.” [I guess he’s saying this because Sea has been to Thailand and Singapore before]

Flash: “If I go with Sea hyung, there would be constant laughter on the plane and at our destination.” [I wasn’t aware before that Killer and Hydra like Sea too but Flash, Fantasy and Stork are indeed good friends with Sea.]

According to DES, the players who chose Jaedong seemed to suffer from”제동앓이” [literally “Jaedong-ache”]. Soo and Shine said they like Jaedong a lot while Baby said he thought Jaedong is really good-looking and cute. The 3 players who chose Flash all cited money related reasons. Jaedong said he thought a vacation with Flash would be on an extraordinary scale while Calm said: “If I go with other hubaes (juniors), they would be burdened with paying their own expenses but if I go with Youngho, we can go Dutch fair and square.” Hiya stated: “If I go with Lee Youngho, I may not even have to bring any cash along.”

Modesty said that he chose Hydra because they communicate well. Hyvaa chose Jangbi because Jangbi reputedly knows how to really have fun and Hyvaa would like to become close with him.

But which progamer did Mr Popularity himself choose? Of course, Sea chose Stork. Sea explained that they get along really well so the vacation wouldn't be boring. Stork holds a good conversation. [Stork has been Sea’s closest hyung from another team, ever since they went to Paris in ‘08 for the Worldwide Invitational. Sorry Bisu, you should have kept in touch better.]

Hyuk and Jangbi were the only ones who didn’t want to go on vacation with any of the others:
Jangbi: “Who goes on a summer vacation with another guy?”
Hyuk: “I don’t want to go on a sad vacation with another guy... a summer vacation should be with a girl”.

2nd: Jaedong - chosen by Baby, Shine and Soo
2nd: Flash - chosen by Calm, Jaedong and Hiya

Cyworld and Twitter Updates

Tyson

Subeom does not like the rainy weather (he tweeted a picture of the rainfall) & misses his roommate Hyun while the latter was away from the hostel. A week later, Hyun is back to the hostel and Subeom says he’s energized again.

Sea

Sea’s tweet right after his OSL game last week: “At this rate, I think I’ll fall sick”.

Some anonymous users (so cowardly) attacked Sea's cyworld guestbook, slamming him for his loss against Soo. But Sea fans quickly took to his defense.

Shark

Shark tweeted this picture of the MBC players eating ramyun for supper. Seven persons' portions in one pot.

Lazy

Lazy opened his cyworld album and diary for awhile but then closed it again after some strange posts started appearing on his diary. Fans think someone could be playing a prank on him. Some of the diary entries included comments like these:

"Transfer- thank goodness"

“It’s a bitter sad evening”

“I’m worried
And concerned
And depressed
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ”

A couple weeks back, the first of such entries appeared and then they stopped. Lazy did say back then he had no idea who was posting these. But recently they've appeared in greater frequency. Every time they appeared, they would get deleted just hours later. Lazy has since closed much of his cyworld. Whoever hacked Lazy's cyworld page, it's not funny, especially given the drama that's going on with STX at the moment.

Sang

Light said he felt lonely returning to his hometown during the break. So Sang tweeted back "because there's no Ha Jae Sang in Busan".

Meeting with Coach Park

I'm not sure when this took place but Shark tweeted this picture on 8th July:

Sea, Jaehoon, Coach Park (former MBC coach, present SKT director), Saint and Shark.

The person who took the picture is the former MBC fan café manager noona. They had a meal and then coffee together, reminiscing about the old days. Time passed pretty quickly and before they knew it, they had spent almost 5 hours chatting.

Have a good week. Things are not looking good for MBC at the moment. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I think so. The apartments are just across the road from the Loox Center, where the practice house and MBC studios are located.

Dude. I had no idea this kind of stuff existed. As someone who hasn't given up on SC:BW, I still really enjoy hearing news about all the teams. Thanks so much! Awesome Job translating!

I really really want one of those mbc zip-up hoodies, they look so awesome, MBC always has the best uniform.

In all seriousness, thanks for the blog, Sea looks good in a suit and he truly is one the most loveable progamers.

I also love Baby's comment on Jaedong and the comments on Flash.
