This was originally intended to be released in the [SC2B] Weekly Round-Ups, but was unfortunately cut (and for good reason). So I will be posting them here, in my personal blog, and on a much more lax schedule. It's just a little blurb about the inner workings of TL. So go ahead and read ... if you dare.
The Sweatshop

WHACK. The crack of a whip resounds through the dank and empty halls. The tapestry of cobwebs shakes from the ceiling; one floats gracefully to the floor. The stones, dark and foreboding, tremble at the percussive sound. WHACK. You walk a little closer, leaning a curious ear forward. Your shoes are slippery upon the sleek stony floor. Spiders scuttle to and fro across the torchlight, laying a minefield before your feet. WHACK. You reach a old and rotted door with a rusted bronze knob. The planks are splintered and cracked. You can hear muffled sounds from within. With a trembling hand, you slowly turn the knob and poke a curious head through the creaking door. And this is what your eyes behold:
A ogre-like slave driver, cloaked in pure red, stands atop a large table at the front of the dark and windowless room. He brandishes a cruel and heavy whip, and thrashes it about his pitiful underlings at regular intervals. Upon his blood red cloak, he bears a bright gold tag, inscribed with the name "riptide." Before him lies a horde of writers, busily scribbling away at mounds upon mounds of parchment. Their eyes are drooping for lack of sleep, and their backs are bent and bruised from the terror of the whip. Their pens work furiously, yet their heads nod back and forth as sleep threatens to conquer their senses. But the crack of the whip jolts them upright, spilling ink and scattering parchment in a clumsy flurry of movement, and sends them right back to work. The littlest one, flamewheel, raises a shaky and and asks in a meek voice to use the toilet, but the heavy whip quickly buries him back beneath his stack of parchment, piled well over the top of his head. heyoka takes a quick glance at the door, cracked open just wide enough for your head, catching riptide's ever vigilant attention. The eyes of the entire room turn to you. "BACK TO WORK," riptide bellows, whip cracking furiously as he races towards the door. You run for your life.

I can attest that this story is not a dramatization. Riptide is really like this.
