Sanja Matsuri or Three Shrine Festival is one of the largest festivals in Tokyo area. The festival is held annually at Asakusa in mid-May, in honour of Hinokuma Hamanari, Hinokuma Takenari and Hajino Nakatomo, the three men who established and founded Senso-ji (Asakusa Temple). On the Sunday (last day) of the three-day celebration, three special (they are more black, I think) mikoshi (portable shinto shrine, or commonly referred to as "floats") would leave the temple in the morning and return at night to conclude the festival. Below are the photos snatched on that day

I saw "photos" and what I thought was a name, so I automatically assumed that this was a hot girl blog.
I am disappoint.

Looks amazing, going to japan again in 6months or so (and staying for 6months), can't wait!
