EPTBy the time we reached Cyber Icon, it was around 12:30, so WGT-Baal and I head towards a McDonald's to sit while we wait for other members to show up. I had two cheeseburgers, and we discussed our personal lives, as well as America and France.
We walked back towards Icon, and started to play after no one else showed up on time. I IM'ed clazz multiple times, knowing that the adventures of masami.sc, clazziquai, and fanatacist would lead them to being high . After surfing online for fifteen minutes, WGT-Baal and I played a couple of games.
First game on Destination, we were both Random. I started at the top as Terran, and I walled off my entrance. WGT-Baal decides to break my wall with zealots and dragoons, while I struggled to get a tank out due to his early rush. SCVs tried to repair, but the wall eventually broke down, and in came three zealots and three dragoons. After my two tanks were picked off, I typed out.
After this game, someone with a TeamLiquid shirt showed up, it was none other than micronesia. As we introduced ourselves, micronesia started to get his Razer mouse working.
We played a second game on Heartbreak Ridge (Random vs. Random). I spawned on the left as a Zerg, while WGT-Baal was Terran. Knowing that there is only one strategy with my Zerg, I opened with three hatch lurkers, intending to play defensively while getting a third base. However, WGT-Baal decides to mine out my backdoor, and puts a bunker behind my mineral line. I cleaned that up with my lurkerling. After that encounter, I grabbed my third base and started to tech to Hive, and get mass Ultralisks. There's nothing better as a Zerg than to get 3/3 Ultraling armies roaming around the map, and just 1a2a3a my way to victory.
Micronesia was having problems with his mouse, since he doesn't like to play at a very high sensitivity, so he defaulted back to the mouse that Icon uses. Slog showed up, wanting to get a tournament going, but I wanted to wait until more people came.
Eventually, Clazziquai's group came, and masami.sc and clazziquai, as well as their friend played Heroes of Newerth. Being the newbs that they are in that game, they got crushed easily, having no idea of what to do, nor having any semblance of teamwork. Poor newbs, should probably learn how to play DotA first.
Fanatacist and I wanted to play a game, since the last meetup produced an epic PvT on Colloseum. Naturally, we both random on Colloseum, and I get top left with Zerg, while Fana gets top right as a Terran. Knowing that I'm Zerg once again, there was only one strategy that works, which was 3 base Ultraling. Opening with 3 hatch lurkers on three bases, we both played passively, until I started to push out with zerglings and a few lurkers. He had just started his second natural, and I was able to delay his second natural, which I eventually took over his Command Center after 8 scourge and a queen. Clearly enraged by the infested command center, he builds a wraith to destroy it. Fana tries to counter with a drop on my natural, but gets cleaned up easily with zerglings. Waiting until 200/200 ultraling, I needed a fourth base, and expoed to the bottom left, but Fana had a secret base there which I immediately took another Infested Command center. After this, I rushed his base and he typed out.
I played a game with Slog on Python, and it was a complete rape. I was a Terran at 9, while Slog was Zerg at 2, and knowing that he was a better player, I opened with a 2rax build, which caught him somewhat surprised, but he manages to clean it up. His muta harass kept me inside of my base for a long time, and when I was finally ready to push out, 20 ultralisks, mass zerglings as well as a few guardians came and I gg'ed. He left afterwards with his friend for food.
We had a Team Melee match on Destination, it was WGT-Baal and Fana vs. Micronesia and I on Destination. Our team started on the bottom position as Zerg, and I told micronesia that he will micro, while I macro. I opened with a 9pool speed, we found out that they were opening 2 gate. I transitioned into 3 hatch lurkerling, as well as a few hydras while grabbing the left and right side, thinking that I will mass up another ultraling army. Fana and WGT-Baal had teched the Zerg and produced mass mutalisks to harass. I built up mass mutalisks as a response to destroy their mutalisk force. After getting 200 supply's worth of 3/3 ultra/ling/defiler, we pushed their base and force them to gg.
Next, we had race wars on Excursion, which masami.sc, micronesia, and fanatacist were Terran, clazziquai was Protoss, and WGT-Baal and I was Zerg. Long story short, unknown map and ultraling doing nothing against mass BCs, the Terrans win.
WGT-Baal had to meetup with others in Times Square, as he was already running late by staying with us for so long. The rest of the group head to an All You Can Eat Korean BBQ. Our conversations mostly centered around TeamLiquid, as well as micronesia's job. We joked at how 50% of the table has been permbanned at least once, as well as discussing other TL members.
The food was delicious, as we had thin beef and pork slices, two types of kalbi, pork necks, as well as sticks of meat. Since none of them knew how much I ate at a table, I brought in one plate for myself worths of food, after everyone else felt that they were full. Clazziquai bets that I couldn't finish it, but I finished the entire plate. Afterwards, we split up and I went home. After a two hour trip, I come home to find my aunt and uncle there, which my mom insisted me to eat with them. I had another bowl of rice, after having 3 bowls of rice in the BBQ. It was a satisfying day, and I hope to have more of these experiences in the future.

Although we may be assholes to each other on TeamLiquid, we are pretty chill with each other once we meet them in real life.
