I'd totally forgotten about these photos from the recent GCos cosplay show in COEX mall, Seoul. The event hosted several 'famous' professional cosplayers from Japan who gave a long series of interviews and did a show for us based upon their Final Fantasy 7/X-2/X and costumes. They even had a mixture of Korean and Japanese fans in the audience who shouted greetings and encouragement to them during the event. They were dressed as: FF7: Sephiroth (Kurusa Ruka.) Cloud (Kaname - the only man.) Tifa (the gorgeous Aira.) FFX-2: Rikku (the terrifying Barbie Tsukino.) Yuna (Aya-san.) Paine (Tada Kaie.) FFX: Lulu (57 - what a strange name. ) Here are some of my favorite photos from what was a wonderful show. I've put the rest under the spoiler because there are nearly 40 shots. Ah I agree the woman who did Tifa was great. I also liked the one who did Lulu, I thought she did it pretty well EMO looking asian weird concept heh.

Tifa was really great! I dont think the guy showing as Cloud was suited as cloud though. And Sephiroth was even more horrible. But great pics NeverGG!

Sephiroth looked like a chibi version of DMC's Lord Krauser.
Cloud got everything right except for his figure (and face, but cant do anything about that)
Lulu looked a bit evil, but nonetheless great.
Rikku looks like she had one too many botox injections.

my gf is a great fan of cosplay and I could never figure out why.But looking at tifa I can totaly understand her now! >.<

Those are some of the best FF cosplays I've ever seen...well, except for the Sephiroth.

Also you should take more high res 16 shots!

in most of these shots the people look like action figures o_o

That Cloud's hair is amazingly close to the original as is the outfit and sword. That's probably the best cosplay I've seen in terms of similarity to the original.

Yeah - this was that event. I only went for one day though and not two.

Yes, Sephiroth was played by Ruka - who I didn't actually realize is a woman until she opened her mouth for her interview. This all made me want to buy a new console to play the Final Fantasy games again - I've completed 7-12 and I miss playing them (along with Resident Evil, Silent Hill etc.)

Hahaha - I was so happy to get to photograph a professional set of cosplayers. The amateurs at this event were excellent as well. I've managed to find a source of information about upcoming cosplay events so hopefully I can provide many more photos in the future. I am a bit shy when it comes to asking people to pose, but everyone at GCos were so nice and accomodating. I think I will gain more confidence in talking to them if I keep attending events.

Tifa and Rikku looked really good. Lulu was abit lacking in the tits-department, and yuna's face wasn't quite soft and cutesie enough, like the one from the game. But that's just nitpicking. (+ Show Spoiler + FFX screenie)

The Tifa one was pretty well done, it resembled her pretty well.
