Trying something new

So with nothing to do over this break, I'm going to try to become amni dextrous. Anybody else try this? This is partly because I'm bored, curiousity and also for basketball so I can finally go left instead of always going right. It's pretty amazing actually how some of the things you just do without thinking become alot harder when you try using the other hand.

I do some things with my right hand, and some things with my left. I don't have a good reason to, because I can do everything with my right hand and everything is made for righthanders.. but you know. It's good if you ever hurt a hand doing something and don't want to be incapacitated. Things like drinking from a glass, cutting with a knife in opposite hands that you're used to will be awkward, but not impossible. Writing however will take a long time because it's complex and I think may even require a lot of muscle memory. You'll feel like you're in grade 1 again learning how to write. And it might take you just as long to become truly legible and apt.

It's a good goal though. Definitely worth spending time on if bored lol.

PS: Although I can do everything with my right hand, the things I normally do with my left hand, my left hand is much, much better at. So I think it really is a matter of practice and only practice.

Haha that kept happening to me yesterday. I was trying to go left but my left hand just wouldn't cooperate!

To start out, you should probably try spelling the word 'ambidextrous' correctly.

i have a broken left hand (my main hand), and right now i'm doing everything with my right hand.
writing
using utensils
driving
texting / typing
mouse hand is now my right hand
playing softball (i'm the pitcher, and the catcher rolls the ball back to me lol)
etc.

i can do simple pen tricks with this hand and can coin walk with no problem
