Yes it does, Pedestrians. That is why the law is there. Also sometimes there are cross traffic yielding left greens.
The main thing with the stop sign or red is that it slows down the speed, even if there is an accident it most likely won't be a fatal one at the lessened speeds.

My guy was really stupid about stuff like that too.
When he was getting me to do my 2-point turn into a driveway I was like "Okay(I know this shit good)".
They way I know it is that there is two ways of doing it. You can pull into the driveway front first(simple right blinker and pull in), then back out, or you can pull ahead past the driveway and back then, then drive straight out.
I did it the first way. When I started to pull in he's like "What are you doing?!?! I said a goddamn 2-point turn! Don't you know what that is?!"
So I say "Yes, but I know both ways of doing it, would you like me to do it the other way?"
"There is no other way! You are supposed to back in!"
"Okay, sorry."
So I back in, and as I'm driving back out onto the road I ask "Do you want me to go right, and continue the way I was going before, or turn left and start going back the other way?"
He says
"Well that would be pointless to go right, now wouldn't it..."
This is where I got pretty fucking pissed. There was a lot more too, but I don't remember most of it.

How anyone can fail anything on those tests besides the parallel parking is beyond me (and that's not even that hard). Like brood said, just do everything to a T (wait like 3 sec at stop signs and shit) and it's cake.

For me, there's this one intersection in town with a really well hidden "no turn on red" sign. It's an automatic fail of your driving test since it's not following traffic signs/laws. So every driving test in Carmel, IN makes you go through that. When I got to the intersection the first time, it was green, so my tester had me drive around the block and go back to the intersection. It was green again. Finally she just said ok don't turn on red when there's a posted sign and gave up trying to trick me.

And yes, DMV testers are super anal about everything. Even if you do everything to a T, you can still fail on dumb stuff.

I'm a horrid driver in real life. Never stop @ stop signs, park where I shouldn't park, I'm always speeding, never use handbreak @ all. When I took my drive test few years ago, the lady was anal to begin with b/c I was all nervous and shit and she was getting pissed off b/c I did shit so slow.
But I passed 1st time with 93% rofl. Driving tests are no indication of how good a driver you will be in the future. Just be super nervous. Pretend you're driving the president around and you shouldn't fuck up. They can't call you on nonexistent shit so just shit on them.
