Freshman and Sophomores don't fail all their classes unless they're not going to class. H is right, but if those are the rules the OP shouldn't get kicked out yet.
My recommendation is to figure out what you actually want out of college and make sure your education actually means something to you. Also, if you're going to fail like that in the future, just drop the class.

My freshman year I failed several classes by being a lazy punk. I took a few years off, grew up a little, decided that life in America without college sucks, and now I'm back with a 4.0.
Don't waste your time screwing your GPA and the rest of your life over if college isn't where you want/need to be at the moment. Come back later when your head is screwed on straight.

Why do you have to pay if it's your professors fault? And what school do you go to
|
my my my what do we have here?? correct me if i'm wrong but you sound rather green...
ive actually never heard of that rule of automatic failure but you really should appeal that decision...i hate to break the news to you buddy (unless of course my assumption of what university you're going to is completely wrong) but back in the day i'm pretty sure that if you failed 15 units in a tri-sem once you hit 2nd year, you'd get kicked out..and yes i didn't get it mixed up with the 18 failed units/school year.
so my advice is to PRIORITIZE and try staying healthy

Your comment is fail.
15 credits at 3 credits per class means he failed 5 classes. He said that the score is reset every year. Most people only take about 4 classes per term. If he's taking more than 4, then he's being stupid about how much he takes because he clearly cannot handle it.
To have failed 5 classes in a year, he's either not trying hard enough on his studies or he's very badly in over his head (to such a degree that he should question whether college is the right place for him). I've only once or twice met someone in the latter situation, so I am willing to bet on the former. Either way, he's wasting his parents' money.
The only reasonable excuse is extreme health related issues, and if that's the case, then he can petition the dean of students. But if that were the case, he probably would have told us that it was, and he can probably get a doctor's note that will verify the predicament he was in.
It's true that this professor in question fucked up big time, but when you're doing that badly to begin with, it's not exactly like one more F is going to wreck your GPA. -_-;;

When you're failing 5 courses a semester, I highly doubt it's the teachers that are the ones at fault for that.

Yeah he's from La Salle, and when you said Prioritize, that means less StarCraft right?

buddy that's how it works...first year of college you get 18 units total for the year as well as 18 for the trimester so if you happen to achieve either of those you're out...that changes in your second year where you can only screw up 15 units per trisem but still 18 for the year...but yeah you're right, looks like he's talking about total for the year and not in one trisem...i read differently, my bad

just wait for it to fix itself.. chill out man it's summer time!
go out and have some fun ^^
im sure it'll all work out
|
Thanks everyone, well it's been a day since the prof's secretary visited the school, im not sure if it got fixed or not, since im "kicked" cuz of that irresponsible prof, i can't log in to the school's website and check if the grade is fixed, and yah, i get sick often, and maybe i played too much starcraft, but I recall studying a lot too, maybe I just got a bit irresponsible with my study. But still, if I can't log in to the school's website, I might get very worried...
@Skylark Don't worry I didn't commit suicide or anything.
|
don't leave things to chance eh?? if it doesn't work out now, you can always try next trisem...im sure you'll be able to work something out with the prof
|
Damn, 2 days already, and I still can't log in to the school site, they must not have accepted the grades, this is really getting me worried ( what should I do?? I can't go to school, Im in the province right now
