il0seonpurpose Korea (South)5638 Posts January 22 2009 21:51 GMT #1 Has anyone else here read this book? I have to read this for a junior research paper and I am just so confused reading this; there are like 50 different stories going on and there is no spark notes for this

Basically, don't search for a single storyline but try to get the whole "picture". "Picture" in the literal sense, meaning every single story line fragment contributes to a whole collage that paints the character of Manhatten during that time (with that kind of transitory character) This is what I remember, hope it helps a little? Else I can try digging it up.
