It's ok to be a complete show-off in the blogs, right?

I got a new computer in July. I got a 100/100mbit line. So I figured I should give some hard drive space to TL, and leave the computer on with utorrent whenever possible.

My old computer had only 60GB storage, so I could only share the most recent ones. Also, my internet was faster than the computer, so it would lag down incredible when I uploaded to fast. No more now with 2x3.0GHz and 750GB hard drive.

Also, zatic informed me about the RSS-feed that allows me to automatically jump on new torrents on TL as soon as they are added.

These are the statistics of the TL uploads since 20:th July:

Total uploaded: 10 TB
Total downloaded: 135 GB
Average share ratio: 74
Total running time: 2379 hours = 100 days
Program launched 149 times
Average uptime: 16 h
Uptime ratio: 0.7 = 70%
Average upload speed during uptime: 1.17MB/s
Total Average upload speed: 817kB/s
Stat window and current speed: + Show Spoiler +
Note: the download include also about 100GB worths of movies/TVseries that I have all low share ratio on (0-5 in general).
Data of all torrents: + Show Spoiler +
Note: split in two images due to imageshask allowing only below 1.5MB size. "show image" will only give you half the list.

Highest share ratio torrents: + Show Spoiler +
[image loading]
(winner: TLAttack with Mondy, shareratio of 246.)
Most uploaded torrents: + Show Spoiler +
[image loading]
(winner EVER-BACCHUS-INCRIUT OSL dvd with 216GB uploaded)

All in all, I'm happy to help the great TL community, and spread SC.

Integrating some kind of a ladder for top uploaders to the tracker would be awesome, adding a competitive aspect in to almost anything will have good results. I'm sure that would spawn more users like Cascade and thus helping the community a lot.

Would this technically be possible?

Nooo, don't do that. It's possible, but it's detrimental to the attitude of honour TL has. I always try to give back at least a ratio of 1:1, and I don't download every torrent... It's just impossible for me to give back such vast amounts with my bandwidth/per month cap. I wish I lived in Sweden so I could upload forever and ever but it's just not possible with 95GB/month cap shared with many people.

Many thanks though OP, you're an inspiration :D

EDIT: Oh... A ladder like boxtorrents... I mean, I guess that would be okay.. But you'd have to register and log in to download VODs from now on (which could be difficult for non-english speakers that love TL).

wow nice.
What do you pay for 100mbit sync a month in sweden?
In Germany upload is usually just 1/10 of the download, so we don't get even close to that^^

I agree, if possible it would also be really cool to show your torrent info in your user profile, like your stats of how much you've dl'd, ul'd, your ratio, etc.

And Cascade, that's freakin awesome. I dunno how I'd keep up with that... having that many torrents in the window would blow, I wouldn't be able to differentiate it from my other torrents.

uTorrent should really have an ability to sort your torrents that you're downloading into collapsable folders (and have the ability obv to put automatically added-via-rss torrents in certain folders) so you can organize your torrent space and differentiate your TL torrents from your normal illegal ones.

you can do all that. You can set the torrents that you download to get a TL label, and you can then toggle what labels you want to see in the list. This can also be automated so that torrents from the TL RSS automaticaly gets that label.

haha, thanks for the lulz.

But the stars should be for people that actually spend time on helping the community, not for people with a fast internet connections...

I'm at 10 175GB now. The torrents have been active last few days. Going at 5MB/s atm.
I may do another brag post when I hit 20TB towards spring.

I think I removed most of that long series of 4GB torrents. I just saw how the utorrent suddenly started adding one 4GB torrent after another, so I got scared and removed them.

Probably I should remove the oldest proleugue VODs, that are very inactive by now, and add those 4GB ones instead. I still have finite HD space.

Well, if there is still some activity on those DVDs, please link me to the torrents and I'll re-add them.

EDIT: omg, you read my mind!! :o
Wow, I missed that thread!! great 10000:th post.
I'm now on the torrents, and I'm off the old proleague vods from this summer. still one or two seeders on them.

I'll just go on and use this blog for further bragging to celebrate xmas. Since this won't bump the blog in the top five list on the left, I'm not disurbing anyone right?

Omg, torrent is crazy these days! :o Normally I average 1Mb/s or so, but lately its been at around 3-5Mb/s.... And just now (partially due to the liquibition VOD) I got a new record in a peak of MOAR DANN ELLEVEN TAUSAND kb/s!! O_o + Show Spoiler +
[image loading]
Also, at this rate I will reach 20TB in no time. I'm at 11.4 already. I guess it is the holiday that people use to download things. And it will be even more activity with all the TL xmas activities planned...

Wow zeesh alot of companies have a soft cap basally capping all non commercial Internet at around 200gb a month basically it's unlimited as long as your not like stressing the line 24/7 in which they don't want your business anyways. TY i guess i never download from tl but your helping out the community always good.
